Bain Capital owned OSI tried to cut food server wages in half

"Earlier this year a Bain Capital subsidiary, OSI (Carabba’s, Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Flemmings, and Roy’s), tried to push a bill through the Florida Legislature that would cut server’s pay in half from $4.65 an hour to $2.13 an hour. Bloomin’ Brands (formerly OSI) made millions this year after a successful IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, all the while advocating to reduce worker’s pay."
Does he know about all this!? cn

I think that pontificating about business is laughable when you don't know how to turn a profit .

Whats next fitness advice from Rosey ODonnell?

That would depend then on the definition of "significant" wouldn't it - I didn't say all, I didn't even say a percentage.

Taes from what? wages? or earnings?

I've never asked you to STFU, I have asked you to defend your posistions. Seems you have here - When a company posts half a billion in profit and it's CEO

Viacom profit was 463 million - Dauman's compensation 84.5 million. I'd call that significant.

The CEO often gets to keep a significant portion of the "profit" of a company and he often does it on the back of tax payers. Even more so in recent history. It is nice that you represent corporations as democracies when they are not.
Well I know one thing for sure, you never ran a corporation that was publicly listed nor did you ever take a business class. There might be SOME CEO's who get great stock options or some kind of incentive, but they sure as hell don't get a significant portion of the profits. LOL any idea what the CEO of BP would get for pay if he got a "Significant" portion of the profits? You have no clue.

If I own the business and it is not a publicly traded company then you sure as shit right about the CEO taking all the profits, but you seem to think that publicly traded companies have CEO's who take at least 51% of the profits.

Philippe P. Dauman: $84.5 million
Company: Viacom (VIAB)
Cash compensation: $14 million
Stock and options: $70.5 million
Total compensation 1-yr. change: 149%

Source: Equilar Inc.
The link proves NOTHING!!! since NONE of the info shows up when you click it. I guess we aren't going to go by the REAL info from Reuters are we? We all just gonna trust your info that only YOU can see? LOL LOL LOL

His Compensation is 38 Million, which I agree is a lot, but he isn't the one who decided on his pay, You have no clue how publicly traded companies work, you think just cuz you claim to own 4 business that they are the same as a publicly traded company. How many shares of stock have you issued and who underwrote the issuance? How many preferred shares have you issued? What kind of financial leverage do you use and what is your company's quick ratio? Do you issue bonds and what kind of coupon do they have? Do you deal in Warrants too?

You have no clue what I am talking about do you?

I own my business, I don't just run it.
What were your margins like on that first business you ran?
They were very high, Installing and maintaining Novel networks was quite lucrative until Microsoft ate the whole pie and the owner (me) wasn't smart enough to see it coming and change to the new OS.

You know several waitresses that pull in $130k a year? What the fuck ever.
Obviously you haven't ever been to places like Sommeliers in D.C. where starting salary for a waiter is $80K-$100K. without tips.

Ahh the ignorant are so easily put in their place.

They're not called 'waitresses' there, and the starting salary is 67k, try again.
