ok well i germinated the seeds and immeadiately put them into a 2 gallon container which i kept them in there whole life. i used a organtic soil i bought nothing special. they grew really slowly at the begginning i dont know why. i used 10 32w cfls on a 20 and 4 light cycle the last couple weeks i used 1/2 tablespoon of mollassas every other watering cycle the plants ended up about 1 to 2 ft tall. but the bud was very fluffy. it looked and smelled and smoked great there just wasnt that much of it. it might have been because i used cfls i had never used them before.

did the budd end up looking like that picture, or was that plant lit up with some blue lights for the picture?

i don't really know much on the indoor scene im more of an outdoorzy type myself, so as far as the small growth i can't really say that was from the cfls. I plant on using 2 400watt hps for 2 plants. on a 20/4 light schedual aswell, but im going to be using coco as a medium and some organic nutes throughout the grow, along with mollasses aswell. hopefully i get more than an 1/4 a plant that would be nice.

how was ordor control? was it an issue. any other pointers you could throw my way id gobble up. i want to get as much good smoke as possible. and id hate to say it, but id love to learn from your mistakes.

Im going to throw some updated pictures in a couple mins, im waiting for them to upload on photobucket as i type.

so after a freak powerouttage i finally got back online so i can finish this.. the thing that sucks is i had already typed a bunch and put all the pics on, and then the comp just shut off... all that work haha.

but here gose..

Since these guys where germinated in the last week of may im going to say that may 30th was there 'birthday' making this there 2 month mark. At 2 months the avererage plant height is 5 ft. i have got a little bit of a spread going on though as half the plot wasn't getting the same ammount of light as i had stated before in this thread. But hopefully they will catch up a little bit.. i have already notice a growth spurt in the side that wasn't getting all the light.
I have been a little antcy on calling them hims' and hers' and they have flipped sex on me a couple times since i have seen the babbbby pre-flowers. the tallest plants still remain all ladies with the exeption of one dude. which im still happy about. I have been using the orchid bloom nutes (3-9-6) since i noticed pre-flowers and have been going at full strength everyother day (when i water) but i have been reciving rain periodicly to kinda ballance it out. Either way they seem to love what im throwing at them and are showing it with some nice stink.

here are the updated pics... (for refrence the green bamboo stakes are 5 ft)

Here is a shot showing the smaller side of the plot... even though they are the 'smaller' side they are still all healthy and range from 2-3 feet in size (i just wish i had noticed before so they where as big as the rest)

little baby fan leaf.

and here is one of the bushy 'Self topped" (slugg topped) mutants from the small side of the patch.

I didn't top any of these plants, any topping seen was al'natural' I deffinatly want to do it next year in the same plot, i just wanted to see how this area was, and how tall they would get un-topped.

So what do you guys think of the progress here, ill hold off on the updates untill i pull all the males and i can really see what im working with. I plan on stealing some ideas from FDD as far as running string on steaks between the ladies for some support for these (hopefully) big ol budds.

:joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:
thanks all.

yeah i made it out there again today they have even grown since i was out there yesterday... more so the 'smaller' side of the plot, they are starting to catch up with the rest. I even found the plants are getting shade at another point in the day...

what do you guys suggest i do about the shade? is a little shade good for the plants, or should i open the canopy up more for direct sun all day?

i have seen what the sun has done for the smaller side, but maybe they need shade at points in the day, i have herd people talking about the importance of morning sun, and even seen people make tents for giving the plants shade at a certain point in the day.. so any imput would be helpful, im kinda stumped on what to do

It was too hot out there for all the work i had planned out, pulling males and making a branch support system, ill muster up the energy tomorow to finish it up... maybe ill snap some pics then.

so another little update,
so far i have pulled 4 male plants, two of which i threw in a pot togeather (there males so i don't care) and two of which i am hanging right now... i plant on drying the shit out of them (along with the rest, hopefully not that many), and throwing them in with a bunch of stems, roaches, and clippings and makin some BHO. has anyone out there made bho with male plants?? i mean there must be some THC in them
if there isn't i guess it will be a test run for the female cuttings as i have never made BHO before, and would love to try.

I almost forgot i had a getto-journal going on this grow, so i guess its time for an update:

Aug. 14th

-I have pulled all the males from the site ( 8 ) leaving me about 30ish i haven't checked on the exact number ( still WAY over 50/50 this is a clam fest out there). Im still trying to decide how to make some branch supports, im thinking some of that tomato fence stuff, and some wooden stakes.. but my grow is to big, so i need to some how get HUGE stakes, or use some 2x4's. I've got about 4lbs of males all dried and ground up, for some BHO. The other two males i pulled and transplanted are in full flowering right now, so im going to grab some pollen to knock some bitches up.

- These ladies are getting HUGE, i stand at about 5'11 and these ladies already have a foot or two on me.. granted there are only 4-5 at this height, but my smallest lady comes in around 3 feet, and everything inbetween.

-still fighting an epic battle with sluggs, but i have seemed to have gotten the upper hand with 'bug-getta' slug killer

I have one very odd plant on my hands that at first i thought was sickly, turns out its just sick...

AND after a long wait on showing sex on this plant, im proud to announce its a GIRL, im deffinatly going to knock this ladie up hopefully this cool leaf pattern and node spacing is seen in its offspring, one can only hope.

Ill try to get some pics of the whole place at some point in the near future, i got some real nice days ahead of me so ill be out there more often, i just need to track down a digi.

as always any comments are welcomed and appreciated.

If that killer is not working for you put a unbroken circle of dolomite lime around your plants. It may look like a satanic ritual but they will be unable to cross. Also bury some shady red cups of beer on the outskirts of your site they like the natural sugar and they will fall in the buried cup and drown, not unlike the death of that guy in beerfest.

yeah some of these girls are pretty damn tall already a couple feet over my head, I can't even see the top buds :-(

but for a lil update here i don't have any pictures i have to track down a camera the one i was using went to florida, but i should be able to snag one somewhere..

The plants are all now fully in flowering there is a good amount of budding all around some more than others. I put up fenceing for some support for the hopefully large budds.. the fencing is only 5 foot though so there is a good amount un-supported i hope its not an issue for those tall ladies. I also found one male hiding in the bunch but got him out before he busted his first nut. A hurricane is a rollin in this weekend though hopefully the fencing helps prevent damage, but its also brining alot of needed rain. Im not going to water till then, i like to let them grow so every time i go back i get a surprise.

Very nice grow dude! That's a lot of seeds, lol. You need to hurry up and get updated pics, I can't wait to see the buds. And how did you transport a 8'9" plant????

we moved the plants like ninjas, pulled it.. put it in a tarp, then into a commercial unmarked van, to a pull in garage and out the back door.

I had to pull the crop a little early, i had a little robber problem.. someone got away with like 2 oz. in the form of my nicest nuggs. But i got a hunting camera out there and left a couple sativas as bait hopefully they come back so i can get an ID.

Overall the crop was still VERY nice. i tried a little cloning action on the wierd strain i got in the mix but i was not sucsessful. I did manage to knock acouple ladies up, so hopefully ill get some seeds. If not its not a big deal, i can still get the hook up that started this venture.

Next year im going to have some actual stains out there, im staring some KC brands mango right now and im going to topp and topp and topp till next summer and throw them out at a different site.

I'm still going to use the site, however im only going to use it to rute out the males. One i can tell a plant is female im going to pull it and move it to my other site, so whoever grab some of the crop will never see any nuggs out there. I guess thats the silver lining in the robbery, becuase next year i would have had my widows and the mango out there i would have been wayyy more pisssed if they grabbed that.

im still working on pics guys, unfortunately i didn't get to get a shot of the crop in flowering, i was in a hurry to get them out of there and didn't think to. Im not making any promises but ill try to get a picture of the crop drying, in itself its a nice sight, along with some bud shots, for bagseed the shit looks/smells crazy. I haven't seen any seeds in the whole bunch other than what i knocked up.
