bad water, or just too much?

I watered my plants at 6am and at noon they were all very droopy and sick looking
The water I used only sat out for 12hours instead of the usual 48. Could it be the water wasn't good or more likely that they are just overwatered?

When i water my plants in veg, they droop like that sometimes, especially when i water heavily.(which is every time.lol) It's normal, and they always perk back up soon after, or sometime the next day, after they've wicked up enough water. No worries. :)

Well that makes me feel better. I didn't even give them that much. I can check them again at 6pm and will take a pic if they are still sick looking

Yep, its normal for them to droop after you water them. It's always happened to me.

I always water heavily also. I usually get about 1 or 2 liters runoff to make sure the soil is saturated and it also works like a flush every time.

Here's something that you might find interesting, because i did when i read it for the first time.....I read that the reason that the leaves droop like that, is that the plant has had it's fill of water. When the leaves are pointing upwards they are arranged in a way the directs rainwater towards the center of the plant, funneling water towards the main stem, and vice-versa. :)

That is very interesting, its weird I have never heard anyone mention that this happens, I never noticed it happening on my first grow, but these are autos and seem to be sensitive.

^Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that some strains are alot more sensitive to that little phenomena, and some hardly do anything at all. It can really mess with your head when you have one strain that's sensitive, and one strain that isn't, and you've never heard of that before. I damn near pulled my hair out, until I figured it out for the first time.LOL

They look a lot better now, still a bit droopy. Your right about the different strains, the 2 Afghans showed almost no droop.

scared the shit out of me the first time too, my plants were about 2 weeks away from going into flower and drooped like crazy. Funny thing is I gave them the same amount of water I always did the only difference was I let the soil dry out more than before. I think the extra dry soil made them open their water pathways a little too much and they actually overdrank. It's my only explanation.
