Backyard outdoor in chicago

Pot laws still arent tolerant...although Illinois is joining the medical states soon supposedly. under 4 plants is always a misdemeanor in Illinois tho. But the thing is I plan on this being a VERY small 1-2 plant grow. So if i did get a carport it would have to me a mini one enough to house 1-2 plants and I cant seem to find good ones that small. I plan on masking my weed grow by planting veggies and various other plants and shrubs in my yard also...so im comparison to the 1-2 weed plants there will be a vast amount of other plants also. I also plan on topping them to keep them short and bushy looking. I cant have the getting tall and sticking out at all. But all in all Im going to find some annuals to grow along with sunflowers and herbs and hopefully veggies.
Topping doesnt mean shit sometimes mate...i topped a plant this season only to have it grow 8 ft wide and pretty much 8-9 ft high.
And if you live with other ppl unless they are blind and have no sense of smell they are going to know your growing weed.

I've grown in and around my yard for years with no problems. Just use the layout of your property and other plants to help conceal or camouflage your grow areas. I would recommend topping everything to keep them low and easier to conceal as it was stated earlier smell will be a proplem and its not a lot you can do for that outside short of trying to mask the odor by some other means such as a chemical masking agent or planting other odifforus plants in great quantity but it can be done. One thing I did was divert attention away from my plants to other sections of my yard by using colorful plants yard art or container gardens.....just a few idea's from a fellow yard Gardner..!
It can be done with successful results .
Did you plant directly in ground? What were your yields per plant usually? Also to help with the smell im gonna see if I can get some ferts containing manure or something from Home Depot, try and make it stinky.

For smell stealth you could grow a couple strains that smell fruity and strains like NLights etc ...bubblegum is also a gd strain for this

There's ways to avoid an 8ft plant. Topping, LST, Supercropping all stunt height growth. So yeah id find a way to keep height down. Most likely

Yeah I know but I didn't have s good seed selection to choose from. So I had to get 818 headband from Cali connection. I'm gonna grow one in the ground and one in a 5+ gallon pot and if the one on the ground gets too large I'll probably chop it down or something

Top it if you can then LST ...you will be able to still get a 8 ft plant 4 feet high of the ground :)

Also. It's gonna be another two weeks before I have my gardening supplies most likely. I wanna start my seedlings asap though. I could just scoop some natural soil from my yard and then flush it some and start my seedlings in that can't i?

Yeah I planted directly into the ground but I used FFOF . I would prepare an area using the FF to fill the hole I dug ...I've had years where I had exelent results pulling almost a pound off of several 4 foot plants and other times I've had to deal with pests and bud rot and threw away more than I kept.....that's kinda why I started growing inside.....better control of the environment but I still throw several plants outside . I've been doing it since the 70's and I just don't want to stop .Good luck to you!

i think i might buy a mini 6' x 4' greenhouse for better control. Unfortunately ideally i want to grow inside as i have before, but it is not an option this time with the people i live with. Yeah i usually grow indoors with FFOF but its going to be way too costly for my needs right now so i think the newly supposedly truly organic MG will work fine with adjustments. Any suggestions for dealing with pests & bugs or preventing rot?

Can u grow more than one ? Like maybe 10 autos ? Cos if your relying on a lb to help.u out u still have to wait 4 -6 months for it

I was thinking about autos also because of the time factor...but didn't want too many plants popping up, although they would be really smaller...but i already bought the seeds. if I potted them instead couldnt I just take them into a dark room after they get 12 hours or less of sunlight so that i could force flower them. I might set up a grow tent in my garage with no lights just to seal off all chances of sunlight, and then place them in there every night. It would be a pain ITA but id get it done

Sounds like a nutrient or cal/mag problem to me. Or you could be simply overwatering. How often do you water?

Eh sometimes it just happens, if they are still seedlings just let em grow out some more and itll most likely straighten itself out.
