Back with another one & some thoughts on future runs with autos

5 bucket DWC grow. AK47 photoperiod seeds from seedsman. They sprouted 10-28, tonight will be their first night of getting 12 hours of dark. After these ones, I'm planning on doing autos for awhile to build up a stash and will go back to photo plants once I have another tent for veg.

Does this sound right? Say I start 2 autos, wait a month, start 2 more, another month 2 more. I harvest the first two, another month or so later I harvest the next 2 (immediately get 2 more going after harvesting) and keep that process going? So that way I'm harvesting multiple times continuously. Have some auto seeds on the way, looking forward to this..

Quick pic of current run, 5 buckets (there is actually 2 in the same net pot on the far right bucket lol). Light is a 600w HPS, 4x4 tent, GH nutes using Lucas formula and hydroguard.

Hypothetically your "starting schedule" sounds spot on, hypothetically. Some will run longer some will finish faster. I say give it a shot, but be prepared to make adjustments.

Autoflowers are a unruly mob
they grow when they want stop when they want and don't do what you think they will do when YOU think they should be doing it..!
start off half a dozen together and likely you will have a variety of different sized plants all doing what THEY want

yes you can kickstart them into flower by going 12/12, whether this affects yield I do not know had a good yield on 12/12 anyway.

for reliability I would stay with photoperiods but if you want some fun give it a go Bro

Yea I'll give it a go with autos, just to see if I can get my jars filled again.

I definitely plan on doing photoperiods more in the future, going to get a second tent so I'll have a veg/clone tent and another one for flowering. Hope these AK's start flowering soon, need to be on the look out for males/hermi's too.. be nice if they are all females!

the grow in the pic, that you are flipping now, won't 'fill your jars'?

that looks like a couple of pounds to me, i get 8-10 oz from 1 (mainlined) plant

It will fill the jars, but it's 1 strain and probably won't be the best (AK47). One plant stretched like absolutely crazy, so I'm dealing with that now. I ended up putting the other 3 plants on top of milk crates to bring them up closer to the light.

I plan on doing a few rounds of autos since I only have one tent currently, but after I get a good stash going I'll probably switch back to photos and setup another tent for veg/clone/mother plants

Day 27 flower, only real issues thus far is the obvious stretchy plant, and the single bucket that had 2 plants.. one was a male.. so I chopped that one out and left the other one. I just tied the main branch down on the remaining one since I didn't top those 2 plants. I'm afraid the dead roots tangled with the other one might kill it. Hope not because that is my first LST experience and am quite impressed with it

And the other 3 plants are on milk crates, that is just how far the one has stretched. Here is a pic, I almost feel as if I should have got rid of it, but hoping I can get at least something off it. IMG_4565.jpg
