BACK AT IT AGAIN!! Light question

i tried google for this question but i couldnt find an answer maybe soone can help me on here..im back at it again in
my own place now!! im doing a mini fridge grow im most likely going to use a 70whps here is my question i have a socketthat was used for a 250whps. now i have a 70w bulb and ballast but dont have a socket. i was wondering if i can use that 250w socket...i mean its still a 70w bulb/ballast doesnt the socket have anythingto do with it or is it just a socket

70w hps? Never heard of anyone using anything less than a 150w, and that just enough light for one med size or two small plants. Anyways, is the socket a med base? If its rated for at least a 250w bulb, you should be able to wire it to your 70w ballast and be just fine. I use the same mogul base sockets for 400w and the same one for my 600w hps lights.

yea well its like a 3ft fridge its not big at all. i use to use cfls but they were taking to long to denze up my nugs..so i saw a 70whps with ballast and i got it cant wait to test it out..thankyou for the response i just didnt want to blow my bulb..it is a medium size socket..
