Azomite question

Hello everyone, I am looking for some input on Azomite. Ijust picked some from a local nursery and I want to know how to apply it to my soil. Should I mix it together with my soil or the guy at the nursery just said sprinkle on top of the soil and when you water the elements from the azomite will pass along through the soil. I didn't got the powder version, I just got the granular. Any and all advice is welcome. thank you

The same sprinkle on top, 1 teaspoon per gallon..more the question is why you need to apply this lawn nute to your babies in the first place, with good soil you won't need this ...?

Understand this product has been banned in many states ......for a reason..?

granular Azomite or granular anything is going to take a long time to breakdown and leech all of each granule's nutrients into the soil. I personally use micronized Azomite at 1/2cup per gallon and i mix it right into my soil mix. i typically don't have to feed my plants any nutes throughout the entire veg period as a result. not sure what vostok is referring to about this product being banned, the only reason it's banned in certain states is because of some stupid regulations pertaining to putting the 'organic' label on their product....it's perfectly safe to handle.

Thanks for the replies guys, ya companies get a lot of shit for labeling their products. Im using it to try and improve the soil I use, i figure it can't hurt. At first I wanted the micronized but I thought the granular would last longer through out the cycle.

you are correct but the one caveat is that it also takes longer for the nutrients to be available for the plants. just something to keep in mind
