Rand - is for children. It reminds me of the folks who "discovered" the Matrix who all of a sudden "got" philosophy. I know many who's only experience with philosophy was Ayn Rand and they HAD to be evangelists for this short sighted misconceived ideology because they could comprehend it and if they didn't think much on it, it made sense to them.
From that point on they never really examined history or human motivation.
Rand supposes that there is only a single class of "maker", only a single sort of success and only a single motivation driving mankind.
Remove all the "makers" from a society and the next day you will see another group take their place - remove them and you will see yet another group fill in the vacuum. The one thing that is infinitely renewable is success.
