hey,i want to ask how autos behave under 12-12?there is a big difference from 18-6?

some people like to drop theirs into 12/12 the last couple weeks but the generally consensus is more light (in this case hours of light) equals more bud. if you want a shorter plant you could (probably) 12/12 but a small pot would do a better job at restricting height/ size. Unless you are trying to save a bit on electric keep it at 18/6. Now if you have a semi-auto rather than a true auto you would need to drop it to 12/12 to flower -- just like a photoperiod.

so you mean reduce to 12/12 once they show sex....or grow them from start at 12/12 ?

currently I'm 20/4 with my auto flowers (Early Wonder Skunk)....but have been wondering about what they would be like flowering at 12/12.

I think most would say to keep them at 18/6...looking forward to other comments/opinions

I never heard of a semi-auto...what advantage/application would it have over a photoperiod?

i have 2 autos: supercheese express and auto cheese candy.such they are autos there isn't meaning to switch the lights from 18/6 to 12/12.i have a space with a cfl 125w 6400k for veg and another one with hps 400w dual spec for flowering.such as i cant to flower on this type of cfl,its better to put them from the start to hps with 12/12,or i can give few weeks on cfl on 18/6 till they start to show signs of bloom,and then to put them on hps?this gonna work or i will stress them?btw i cant turn hps on 18/6 cause i have allready 2 plants on bloom phase.
