Autos worth it?

i have grown multiple auto-flower strains. i have grown good autos, i have grown bad auto-flowers, alot depends on gentics, alot depends on the environment and even more depends on the grower. i personally have grown auto strains and have yielded 3-5 ounces per plant with 8 to 10 plants.



they are absolutley 'worth' it. they may not be optimal for every situation but they absolutely have their place in mmj growing and marijuana growing in general.

with the right strains i think yielding 1-2 lbs per harvest is achievable, with a HID light and over 500 watts of course, i mean, what else would you grow with?

Awesome that is what i was trying to say the whole time lol. Personally i have seen very nice grows with T5 lighting and autos too! Just because of the fact that you can get the plant so close to the lights, plus the long periods of light, it can yield very well!

autos are great! try nl or biodiesel. im s,okin om some of that now made hash with some too.. if you got room do em up. a change is a change. i like them however all 3 of mine were 9 weeks. northern lights autopounder and bi diesel.

Using 2 plants you get an ounce. TO harvest an ounce per week you need 16 plants. you can prob get the .5oz in a 1-3 gal pot and prob more in a 3-5 gal. so in very lottle space, without ned for light leak blocking, you could get a ridiculous amount of high grade weed in no time.

ANyone see any flaws in my reasoning because I am just speculating and if im off somewhere id like to know haha

I don't know where you are from but one ounce a week is not in any way shape or form a "ridiculous" amount of weed. Any grow operation that can be measured in ounces is nothing more than a hobby. Real marijuana producers deal in pounds my friend...

If you grow then you know.

lol my current autos are at 11 weaks and need about another week.

I tried them last grow because its all the seed i had left over from freebies ,my opinion they suck and are not worth it I grew 4 different strains all 4 quality was below average, yield was below average and only 1 was done in like 70 days not worth my effort never again . the afgan kush ryder was the best of them .

Autos were made for people who can't grow with separate veg and flower rooms - otherwise, why use them? Same w/ fem unfortunately, created for people who are too lazy to grow "real" females (which, many will argue, are genetically superior). General rule of them for Autos and Fem: Grow them for smoke, Don't breed them. That's my 2c

this one was 5 branches short 2 got CS , 2 sampled, and one broke late in veg during heavy lst still about 4-6 grams on the plant still to see if i can get some seeds to finish

I grow both.I tell ya if you need a quick harvest of good weed grow some sweet cheese.Auto's have come a long ways in the last few years there's some killer auto's out there.

I grow autos almost exclusively. I have limited space and am just a personal stash guy. I have room to grow three plants at a time staggered roughly 3-4 weeks apart. That schedule keeps me with plenty of stash on hand and I don't have to deal with light cycles. I grow under one LED light in a steel cabinet. I usually leave the door cracked with a fan in front circulating the air. If someone comes over I have a single switch that shuts everything on the inside of the cabinet down and I simply shut the doors and lock them. Nobody has ever even suspected anything. My weed quality is spot on for me and the freeloaders I know don't complain. In my situation autos are the best choice overall. I have a normal job and normal life so I don't have time to spend hours upon hours growing. I have to spend maybe 30 minutes a week tending to my 3 plant perpetual grow and that suits me just fine. I do start every plant from seed so there is some slight expense there at $10-$15 a seed.

I am on my first auto grow now after seeing first hand 4+5 oz's dry taken of a 12 week strain. I know there is alot of bashing autos around but have these people bashing em seen it done right or tried n failed themselves or are they just jumping on bandwagon because as I've said I'm growing 2 now after seeing the results firsthand so I know what they can do.
