Sometimes you just gotta pull em, I always try to find a new home for them come to think of it I don't think I've ever actually thrown away a mature plant. I just gave away 2 runts to my neighbor they were perfect for his closet.
did they finish? and how were they?

Normally I would try to re-home it but I've got a fungus gnat issue and I don't want to risk passing it on, even after treatment. We'll have to see. I may use her as a bit of a test subject.

I grew autos last time and harvested at 12 weeks. They were great and I didnt have to worry about the dark cycle. I now have a photo at 8 weeks. Flipped the lights at 5 weeks. Its supposed to be a 45 day flower strain. Anyway doing simple math tells me that the photo will finish at least as soon as the auto. ???? Still like autos. Getting ready to put both autos and photos outside this summer. It will be interesting to harvest this photo and see if I get more weight and quality off it than the auto. The auto is better than I find in the dispensary. First pic is the super skunk auto near harvest. The second is Afghan kush photo at 8 weeks.View attachment 4525356View attachment 4525357

easy for what??

I grew PP plants maybe 3-4 times in the 5y I've been growing and they never started to flower under 10 days from flip..
Funny how nobody counts that, or like some of peeps in here they claim that thier flowering starts right away when they flip to flower..

Very nice looking plant! I would bet it’s not properly done in less then 4 weeks though. The whole plant is still totally fresh new growth from the looks of it.
Sometimes autos bud out in little spurts. As the first spurt is maturing all the sudden another spurt of white hairs and another and another allowing a later harvest but more weight. But it looses sweetness. I wouldn't go but 2 weeks longer than the breeder says as a general rule.

Just for reference I took this pic 5 mins ago. Still reckon it won’t be done in 3 weeks? Will be honestly really interesting to see. Even I’m curious aha

I guess we will see :). I don’t believe in harvesting plants while they are still trying to grow fresh buds and not fully mature I’ve NEVER gotten a better result from that. It might totally surprise me and mature super fast.

Admittedly I don’t grow many autos, but I’ve watched many many people grow them and smoke report on them. Based on my results and those of others I’ve read I don’t believe they really mature much different from photos. Many photo plants grow in waves as well. If you let the plant get to it’s finished point in my experience it’s always got higher yields and better quality smoke.

I don't find anything bigger than 3 gal necessary for auto's. Everyone's grow is a little different mind you, and I have no outdoor experience. But I don't find I get any difference in harvest between 3 and 5 gal pots. I just harvested these two auto's this week for plant size reference in 3 gal. One was 6zips and the other 4.5. Each under a 56wat cob, 84 days and 73 days from seeds.

An autocob from cobshop.net.
I think the guy that makes them used to be a member here on RIU. You can still find him active on AFN (BigSm0).

They are kind of nice as a single pendant light that you can adjust per plant. Kind of convenient to grow auto's at different stages if thats your thing.

Nice looking plant! So ar 3gal hard pots of coco overkill? Should I go with 2 gal instead? I’m working with white widow auto flowers from ILGM their seed to harvest in 70-80 days

Autos can get rather large depending on grow methods .... I grow pretty large girls in simple 1 gallon grow bags and Hempy buckets.
The “ buckets “ are simple kid’s sand pails with 3:1 perlite / vermiculite mix on GH MAXIBLOOM powder. As far grow bags , I run a layered soil mix ( FFOF / EB Stone ) with minor EWC addition ( 10%of container volume ) and a scoop of Great White myco to get party started. I have done 3 and 5 gallon grows but like the fact that entire medium is used and NO BOTTLE NUTES involved. I get nice dense root balls and no waste. I found I get BIGGER yields by dividing 5 gallon grow into individual 1 gallon bags x 5 .

The key is knowing you only have to keep the autos happy for about 90 days ( average lifespan ).
