Autoflower?

what makes a auto autoflower?? yes just like light trigers flowering in sativa and indica there is a triger for flowering in autoflowers so experimenting does pay off

you can suspend autos by manipulating there enviorment just like light trigers other plants autos are trigred by soil temp as well sometimes heavy blue spectrim can affect a auto i curently have a 5 week old male lowryder 2 that flowerd at 3 weeks and curently is regresing he is droping his polen sacks intact as they shrivel up undevoloped a week ago i was colecting polen off this guy if we can figure out all the trigers on autos then maybe we can one day clone them
To my knowledge, autoflowering strains are crossed with land race strains from the arctic circle that receive 18+hrs of light for long stretches of the year. They had to adapt to flower themselves based on age, not light cycle. Any first hand accounts of potency? I was thinking of throwing a few in my garden.

But, for clarification, you still have to turn the lights back to 12/12 to get nice buds.

This is simply not true for the auto flowering ak-47 hybrids, or any other fully auto flowering strain. They will produce the best buds under either a 18:6 or 20:4 light cycle for their entire life cycle. Its not just me saying this either, all of the seed companies that produce auto flower seeds say the same thing.

The reason the plants flower without a change in light cycle is due to the addition through hybridisation of genes from the 'ruderalis' plant to either indica or sativa or combinations of the two. :peace:

mom started out doors last harvest.. brought her in nov, 24/24 for 1 week then 24 hps for 2 weeks, re veg(very very little) and then started to flower again..took the tops..here we are
Mom was 10 inches tall 1 stalk..outdoors..
when i did the 24/24 2 stalks shot out of the bud
buds dried and gone now..but shes trying to re veg...clones are trying to bud
Do you have 48 hour days then? :???:

You think its funny to experiment..aight.
be satified with what ya got.. I think close minded people are funny
I find people who confuse idiocy with open mindedness funny. Isnt it great that we all find different things funny :-D :peace:

The auto-flowering plants are, to my knowledge, are from the Ruderalis species of cannabis. They have less THC than Indicas or Sativas, yet are short, and auto-flower due to the unchanging light cycles.
The earlier examples - yeah. The more recent hybrids have addressed this issue, the following strains all have medium to high levels of thc - lowlife auto ak47, lowlife automatic hindu kush, lowlife automatic blueberry, lowryder diesel ryder, lowryder easy ryder, lowlife automatic lemon skunk, big buddha seeds automatic, short stuff seeds blue himalaya, advanced seeds top69 - and there are many many more, with new strains appearing all the time.

This thread is so full of half truths and misinformation. :peace:

We just harvested an AK47 Autoflower after growing for 5 weeks under 6-150 watt CFL's 24/7. Buds were loose but ample and yeilded nearly 4 ozs.
Wow, they are meant to take 10 weeks. And 4oz is the most ive ever heard of from a single auto ak. You must be very good.

This 3 page thread is also 4 years old!.. I think people were just discovering/experimenting seriously with Auto's around then & thus info about them was not at a premium

Ah. Should have noticed that. Was on page two though, so assumed it was current. Certainly explains the apparently retarded nature of some of the posts - a tradition I am proud to have continued  :fail:

LOL - I thought some of the answers were a bit naive.. so checked the op & saw the date.. a lot has happened to Auto's in 4 years huh!?

For sure man. I feel very glad to be able to grow a strain as high quality as the auto ak-47 :-)
