Autoflower strains outdoors

So over the past year, when i get some high grade shit if i ever find a mature seed ive been keeping it, its not often you find a seed in good shit like that but ive been lucky to come across 23 seeds so far from sour d., kush, widow, and some un-named purple bud, and i was planning on using those, but unfortunatly some bs happened that im too mad about to even explain, and i no longer have seeds, and i was looking around on attitude and came across the auto flowers

my plan this year is of course another guerrilla grow, but does anyone here have any experience with auto flowers? the 3 months tops flowering time would be ideal, becuase by the time it gets around harvest time, it likes to rain for 2 fucking weeks and give me massive amounts of rot, which i could avoid if i were to have finished plants by mid september

so what are some autoflowering good strains, good yielders, what did you get at harvest, what problems, etc. with guerrila/outdoor autoflower grows? i know weight will be alot less, but i dont really care, i just enjoy growing and smoking the product, but i high yielder is still favorable

thanks again RIU, you guys are always so much more helpful than google, and im not gona completely trust what the site says as their job is to sell them

also another concern is i noticed that what makes them auto is crossing them with ruderallis (correct me if im mistaken), but i always heard that ruderalis is shitty smoke...

heres a link to Attitudes autoflowers in case i sparked anybodys interest http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/auto-flowering-seeds/cat_43.html

also, im growing a few extra plants for a buddy this year who has chronic pain, hes never been much of a smoker and he dosent know any dealers where he lives (2 states over), im hoping to maybe get a few plants that are regarded highly for treating pain so if you have any suggestions feel free to share, thanks

If the only reason you are growing auto flowers is to harvest a couple weeks early, I think you are potentially sacrificing a lot of yield. There are multiple normal seed strains that are early finishers, I bought a strain online a few years ago, it was called fast pine, and it was able to be harvested much earlier then a lot of plants, I harvested all of them by the middle of September, with massive colas. I hear a lot of stories of auto flower's that do not actually auto flower, they still flower depending on the light period. Also most of these auto flowers will not yield as much as a normal marijuana plant would given a full growing season. Also if its rain causing mold, that can be prevented by purchasing mold resistant strains. All I am saying is do not jump the gun, Maybe consider looking into and or purchasing some normal marijuana seeds, there's a lot of wonderful varieties out there, mold resistant and early finishers might be something to look for. Hope that helps, Happy toking :bigjoint:

Personally I grow cuz I LOVE WEED! Lol! So I'm not that "in-the-know" on pain killing traits among the strains out there. But having grown a few batches of Auto's I can highly suggest searching for strains that have been recrossed and/or interbred. Just having bought some Jock Horror Auto's, i read up and emailed the seed bank, they explained that it was crossed with Runderalis and recrossed with the Jock to maintain the high quality bud that didn't sacrafice alot of its highly saught after traits but instill the autoflower genes. Only 1 out of 50 reviews claimed it wasn't a true autoflower.

Stonerman is correct on yield loss but again just research your strains before buying. Cuz my buddy in Cali. harvested 25 2-3ft Bubble Gum Kush that were auto's and turned out beautifully and very tastey. As for a normal seed's I found a very hardy strain that was incredibly mold and pest resistant called Kaya Gold and have grown it both indoors and out. Its not a "top producing" strain but nice and resiny and uplifting high that really helped me whenever I had a headache.

I grew Easy Ryder (Low ryder x auto ak47) in 5 gallon buckets of FFOF last year and I got 4.5 ounces from 3 plants. The smoke was decent. Effects were mild and It was a plesant to smoke and then get shit done.

I started them from seed on may 29th and planted them outdoors on the 12th of june. I harvested on the 19th of August.

If I was going to grow Auto flowers again, I would buy something that was not feminized so I could put a male and a female plant far away from the rest of my crop. I would let them breed and Use those seeds for subsequent seasons.

lol wow i just decided that was gona be one of my to auto strains if that is what i get :) and yeah im planning on getting some reg seeds and move the males somehwere else and wait til i can collect pollen from them then brush it on some of my lower branches of the fems so i wont have the whole plant with seedy bud

right now my two top im thinking of doing is the easy rider femanized - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/easy-ryder-aka-lowryder-2-x-ak47/prod_442.html

and

short stuff blue himalaya diesel reg seeds so i can get more seeds (unless i find easy rider reg seeds) - http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/short-stuff-seeds-blue-himalaya-diesel/prod_1374.html

yeah i know ive seen alot of that but im doing extensive research on every plant i consider to make sure it does what its supposed to, and as for early finishers, if i plant them late march/early april i can probably harvest in august which would be favorable, my issue is not just the mold, but that there is alot of hunting going on in my area, the mold issue (i can look into fixing that i guess), and the fact that i have a job and go to college, so im really looking at it as kind of a summer hobby when i have time, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to my spot, not to mention i always end up spending another hour looking for problems or just generally basking in the glory that is a marijuana plant :D

but i see what you saying, i may look into some early finishers but i just know i want harvest to be as close to the start of fall semester as possible, i truthfully dont even really have enough time to do it but i love growing too much to just stop haha

im definatly doing major research on the strains i choose though im not just gona go pick the ones with pretty colors cuz i think they look cool haha, cuz like you said i have heard of them not being "auto", thats why im going to try to stick to the originals that people have been growing for years and know that they are what they say they are, and for the yield comment, im aware that it wont be near as much, i dont really care, if i run out i can just go hit up the dd like i already do anyways, i just want to grow some pot and enjoy myself, i dont care if i only get 1 gram i'll just be pleased that i grew it :)

Outdoors is the only place to grow autoflowers. If you time things right, you can have fresh bud finishing by the end of June. I grew out a 3-pack of Paradise Pandora last year that I got as Attitude freebies and was very impressed. 2oz per plant x 3 plants = 6oz's of fresh bud by the 4th of July with very minimal effort. Not what I would call topshelf medical grade bud, but it was certainly nothing to sneeze at. Mild smell, sweet taste, and quite potent. Actually considering running this strain again I was so impressed with it.

Best autoflowers are bred by STITCH from Flash seeds and Short stuff seeds,

ive grown about 12 auto strains now, some were freebies and others were intentionally purchased, and from that i must say that the best 5 are

1. Mi5- it is an autoflowering bushy AK dominant plant that can turn purp outdoors and finishes in 75 days from seed, i got 3oz in a 5 gallon pot at 68 days from seed.
2. Russian Rocket fuel- grew 5 of these fem, i got 1 pheno that gave me 4.5 oz in a 5 gallon, biggest yielding autoflower ive ever seen, leans more toward sativa as well smells like pineapple and diesel, probably my favorite autoflower, other non sagging bush pheno's did a modest 3 oz each in their 5 gallons.
3. Sour 60- Really fruity citrus smell, takes about 70 days from seed despite the 60 name, potent and easily pass off as high grade dank if you dont tell them its actually auto.
4. Fruit Autoflower- Good yields, takes about 60 days from seed to fully mature, some take longer, smell like spice/Grapefruit and some smell like tangerines/oranges. nice easy high, calm buzz and a little bit of a head high and body stone when you smoke enough. not very potent but great bag appeal.
5. Pineapple Express Autoflower- Smells like pineapples and apples, very sweet and sour and excellent bag appeal, potent but not overpowering and good yields, i got 2 oz in a 2 gallon after 60+ days, some dont yield alot at all but make better quality buds that finish like 55 days from seed.

Autoflowers DO BENEFIT ALOT from root enhancing chemicals/myco. Myco madness root enhancer from humboldt nutrients is an epic deal, works like magic and improves yield and smell of plants in organic grow setups.

this is exactly the answer i was looking for thank you alot bro, although im doing in ground outdoors with about 10 hours direct, u think i'll be ok? im not worried about yield too much but then again it dosent hurt to have a high one

also you say it can turn purple, by so that means it has to get cold right?

i grew them at around 40-41 latitude, i got close to 11-13 hours in direct sunlight but that had very quick diminishing returns and ended up with like 7-8 by august, most of my auto's still grew strong and yielded alot, they were grown at multiple locations, some in a swamp, others on a mountain, not kidding you about the purple, i had 1 mi5 that went complete purple, need day temps of around 75-85 degrees, and night temps of around 55-65, its phenotypical expression not cold enduced although cold helps.

i think im settled on russian fuel and the mi5 then thanks, and thats perfect, in fact i think you may be my neighbor by what you said about your environment factors haha, im not entirely sure about my length of light they will get yet but im pretty sure its between the range of 8 - 12 hours

i might also try the UFO#1 auto (northern lights x big bud auto), its in the freebie section at like 17 a seed, kinda scared to do it though becuase ive never dealt with a seed bank so im not to sure oh how great the chances are to get a bad seed

links below if you want to take a look, ive always thought the UFO strains were awsome looking, and people who dont grow tend to think just cuz something is colorful that it will get you higher haha ;) although from what ive read its a pretty strong stone

http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/ufo-1-world-of-seeds-autoflowering-northern-lights-x-big-bud-feminized/prod_4094.html

basicly my main idea now is to get a high yielder, and another one that just looks fucking awsome :p

ive heard nothing but good stuff about world of seeds auto's, they had a sick Afghan kush ryder that didn't yield much but it got me super stoned. i would grow that alongside the Russian rocket fuel or Mi5, see how they compare.

I know im going to breed some Russian Rocket Fuel with a few strains and work on isolating that bushy pheno but try to retain the flavors and resin of the strain i am outcrossing to, im looking at TGA-Vortex, Jillybean, Querkle and Homegrown Fantaseeds- Armageddon as well as Sannies Jackberry f3... i want to breed some sick autoflowers, and since breeding auto's seems to be the toughest i hope it can hone my skills further. i made the mistake of crossing Dinafem's Fruit Autoflower with Jillybean, fem seeds like dinafem's aren't safe to breed with so i have to go for the regulars that Short Stuff supplies.

well im definatly doing the mi5, and unless i come across a strain that has some major yielding abilities im probably gona stick with the russians, i might try to fit in another strain, but i can only fit about 10 plants, so im probably gona buy fem mi5 and reg russians so i can get some more russian seeds since the high is apparently epic, i might even cross the two for the hell of it just becuase ive never crossed strains haha

nothing wrong with that lol, i would cross them together but i mostly grow autos for personal stash when im getting low, thats why i want the perfect(perfect for my tastes) autoflower even if i have to breed it myself lol.

Heck yeah! Just recently started this same process...so I can grow these and let the big girls veg...I am bad to run out of smoke early and go clipping random parts off my poor plants...So I figure these shoudl ge me through...Anyway 3 are male and 2 aren't anything, so I am assuming they are female. Damn those males popped up fast though...

same, i just dont see myself getting away with growing 7 foot tall plants in my area, there is wayyy too much human activity in the forrest around here so id rather get in and out fast with at least 75 g's, im pretty sure that will happen with 10 plants tho haha, im just ready to get to a legal state so i can grow 9 footers in the back yard and not have to worry about shit, must be nice , i have litteraly never been through a patch of woods within 20 miles of my house that dont have some type of trail or deer stand, kinda sucks really :/

so its possible to just cross any strain then? becuase im always reading about how it takes multiple generations to get it right, i suppose thats just becuase commercial breeders are just trying their best to get the favorable genetics, either way if i end up with a plant thats a high yielder and a strong stone like the russian and the bag appeal of the mi5 i'll be one happy camper ;)

good luck on the Deku project btw, lookin good haha

Help ME!

im 100 % decided on the Mi5 but i cant decide on my high yielder strain

im stuck between Russian Rocket Fuel & Low Ryder Easy Ryder

Russian Rocket Fuel -
http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/short-stuff-seeds-russian-rocket-fuel-feminized/prod_1370.html

Easy Ryder-
http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/easy-ryder-aka-lowryder-2-x-ak47/prod_442.html

according to all the seed sites, the easy ryder is a high yielder and none of them really say anything about a high yield on the russians, yet all the grow journals ive found, the russian always comes out on top, but im just not sure what to do! i suppose i should trust what actual growers report but for all i know, the rrf growers were just better growers

I think im gona trust omgwtfbbq indicaman on choosing the RRF, but a few more opinions would be great

waitttt a minute, i just re read that, so your saying you got 4.5 oz off of one plant of RRF???? ive never even heard of an auto doing half that 0.o

could you elaborate on your setup for the RRF grow that time? im doing in ground, outdoors, between 9-12 hours direct light, probably not too many nutes, definatly getting fert soil though, i also did pretty good on a compost consisting mostly of tomatoes and pears so i'll probably use that as well, how did your setup compare for just the russians specificly

Check out this thread. This is the strain I will be growing outdoors this year. I am going to try to put 4 out side a week from may until the end of july. Im going to clone them and veg them until they are ready to be transplanted out of a 7 gallon pot. Im gonna transplant them into a 15 gallon hole filled with my own version of supersoil.

https://www.rollitup.org/outdoor-growing/443785-iranian-short-season-harvested-june.html

In this thread he puts them outdoors when theyre 18" and he gets 4-6 oz per plant.
