Hey RIU, havent been around here in a while aha
Ive decided to try my hand at another CFL PC grow, this time with Easy Ryder from lowryder seeds.

I had been looking at these seeds for quite some time now and just thought f**k it!

What it have:

Lights- 3 x 30w cfl (2700k) will add more when it gets to it.
Fans: exhaust- 120mm pc fan(12v)
intake- 120mm pc fan(5v)
+ 2x 120mm pc fans for circulation
Reflective material- windshield reflector
Soil- Multipurpose compost w/30% perlite
Nutes- biobizz grow/ biobizz bloom

Ive placed my seed between some moist paper towels between 2 dvd's in a warm, dark place.
Will add pics asap! Lets get growing :hump:

sounds good, remember to keep them small CFLs close, like 2-6 inch`s and you could easily take the intake fan and add it as a number two out take fan and just keep passive intake holes, air going out have to be replace with some thing

Alriht well when i woke up this morning i noticed the seed had a miniature tap root poking through so decided ill hopefully plant when i get back from work...

Ok so got back from work to see the root had increased in size... this is it! Filled my container(3litre) with compost and 25-30% perlite turned on just 1 x 30w cfl.
I also added another fan blowing just under my light just to keep the temps down.

Im planning to build a small carbon filter as soon as my activated carbon gets here  along with a light trap for the intake fan.
Will add pics when i get back from work tomorrow... peace out :peace:

Looking good so far. Easy Ryder was my first legit genetics grow in a PC case after a first run with horrible bag seed.. more like bad seed. Good smoke, I really liked it.

No need to rush with the lights.. It's still a tiny seedling. I would start adding lights after 2 weeks when the vegging kicks off.

Thanks, what'd you yeild off her?
Alright cool, was also wondering when would be the best time to start LST'ing?

Around 10 grams.. I was a newbie and I have made some mistakes. My pot was too small and I transplanted it. Autos don't like transplants, atleast mine didn't. I've seen people yield alot more than that so you're all good. About LST, I usually start between 2 and 3 weeks, depending on growth rate of the secondary branches. Some people start when it's still a tiny seedling, which is pointless IMO because there is still no secondary growth out of the main stem.

Shes coming on nicely i think, temps are staying at around 71-74f.
1 thing, there seems to be a much smaller plant shooting up from the stem, i noticed it before but never took any notice... what chyall think? ( can see it in one of the pics in Day7)

Hmm I've been thinking that myself, not sure why tho... Do ya think it could be the low lighting I've got running at the moment?

Cool setup man, I have something similar. That pot looks a little big for a seedling, it's probably still just establishing a root system underneath. You want the roots confined in a small container, solo cup, so they don't stretch to find the sides, also accelerates vegetative growth and makes them easier to transplant. You say your running 3 2700k CFLs? If so, maybe save them for flower and put in a few 6500k instead.

I'd also think about adding another light if you can fit it. It's looking good man, I'd start LST in another week. I have an NL running ATM that usually gets to about 3ft, week 2 1/2 and I'm still under 1ft, topped twice ;)

Yeah i was originally gunna go for a small pot but i hear loooaddss of people say that autos dont like to be transplanted...so i decided against it

Oh, well give it a few weeks and u should start to see rapid growth once the roots find the sides of the pot. I'd probably hold off on lst until the 5th node comes in (second set of true leaves). Subbed ;)

As long as you dont disturb the root system when transplanting (like breaking root ball etc.) Transplanting is not bad for autos. I do it on all my auto grows.
