We have ignition!

Dynafem's Roadrunner-

Seed cracked today after 10 hrs' (last night) of germ.
Dropped it into a pile of MG Moisture Control mix that was baked & flushed with 2 tsp. Big Bloom / gal. Presently sitting in a 22 oz. cup waiting for space to become available for the grow.
My main ambition with this is to hermie a cutting for more seed. It'll be a couple of first for me here with that. Short grow and AF may throw me a real curve on the timing with this too.
Anyone have any input on timing a clone / hermie with AFs? I imagine the window of opertunity is rather small. :-?:peace::joint:

One seed / one shot.

If I understand you correctly, you wish to clone your autoflower seed.

To my understanding, this is not possible.

The way I would get seeds from autoflowers is to purchase regular autoflower seeds and hope to get a male and get pollen from that male.

idk but it seems like it's too difficult to just herm it and get seeds like a normal plant that is based on photoperiod, not time. the plant will die sooner than you think, but if you're gonna try it, great, hopefully you get viable seeds.. also, i wouldn't clone any auto for any reason, they just aren't meant for that. if you do successfully get a clone it will be very small, the stress it will take will surely be detrimental to it's growth.

that's jsut what i've gathered while reading various things, but for the sake of the experiment it should be interesting if you do go through with that

After second thought, I would like to see you try Canon. Just because I have doubts does not mean you wont be successful.

After all, the Cage is a place to experiment. ;)

Thanks for the interest on the Clone / Hermie.

Not really sure what to expect.
But, IF I can get 5-10 seeds from a clone it would be a good beginning to gathering a male for follow-up grows.
Of course that would open the door to all sorts of possibilities.:-P

I enjoy the relaxation and the high,,,, but growing is so darn addictive!!!!! :weed:

Nothing ventured... nothing gained.

Im out!! Tossed both seedlings today. Bugs in the peat pellets.
That sucks!!!

If you can (before you totally give up),,, Grab a jar of crushed / chopped garlic from a cheapie store and flush with the juice full strength for a couple days. Then flush and run as normal.
Suggest you NOT do the garlic juice in your grow room. The bugs will look for greener pastures and you don't want them infecting other plants or the grow space if possible.

I just recently had the same issue with Jiffy pellets from Home Depot.
The above method saved 4 of the 5 I was working.
Good luck
Maybe you'll save one?

PS; Caution. The garlic does not kill the bugs, or so it appears, it just makes them evacuate. Pick your spot carefully. Maybe not in the house?
