Hello , its been 80 days since the seeds hit the soil. I`ve cut down 1 top to try it. After 5 days of drying smells like hay or grass. I smoked a joint and the taste was like shit and i felt just a little high. Here are some pics of some tops. What did I do wrong ? Are they ready ? how much to go ? on the seeds pack they sad 70 to 80 days. thanks in advance.

Personally, I would feed lightly for a couple more weeks, at least. The first bud still looks really premature. If you showed me that first bud by itself I'd tell you there's 4 weeks left in flower.

It's 4 days since the flowers are hanging upside down to dry. The first 2 days the smell was very impresive, now there is no smell at all, only when I squeeze the bud. I will wait another 1 2 3 days for the small stems to crack and then jaring it. Am I doing somenthing wrong? After I put them in jars after how long do I have to burp? Thanks in advance.

You still had a little time left. You cut them so it's done with, who cares. Now youre closer to smoking :bigjoint:

I usually dry until the outside of the buds start to feel crispy, and the stems are still somewhat pliable, but close to snapping. Then I jar them and begin the cure. First two weeks I burp frequently to prevent mold. After that, should be good burping twice a day making sure the air inside the jar is replaced each time. good job man. Next time I would suggest extending your plants life until all those hairs are almost if not completely gone. But who am to judge? If you feel it's a success, then it is. Enjoy the fruits of your labor bongsmilie

mmm NL was one of the easiest grows, plant in compost mix. water. probiotics. done
What's the yields like. I hear pretty low but saw a hefty 10oz plant once. I might do some gorilla growing soon and keeping cost down on that is pretty smart

Congrats on the success, and now you know that you can let it go a little longer. Nl was my first grow. I mine went roughly 98 days from sprout. Love the smoke

hmm the buds a long and narrow and really depends on your veg time. gorilla growing you could easily start seeds in spring and have an upper hand on veg size by fall. i was growing about 8 tops and got only 2-3 oz max but that was under 50% shade outdoors.

another grow with NL was 8 tops again with more light. that easily was on the 3oz side and much denser.

After 24 hours in the jar, I opened the jar to get some air, the moisture has ben redistributed evenly but the smell is awful(hay / piss). I checked for mold ,none of the buds shows signs of mold. Does the weed smell come back ? It really pisses me off after 90 days of taking care of them smells like shit. Thanks in advance.

Good 1st grow. Don't be hard on yourself for this grow. It's much better than my 1st grow

I've grown northern lights auto before. It isn't a fruity strain. Fuck the taste, it's your 1st run, just make a sugary cup of tea with each joint lmao A good cup of tea with 2 sugars, will see down almost any spliff lol

I think you had 2/3 weeks to go.

I can highly recommend growing Sweet Seeds Fast Bud 2, or their Sweet skunk. Both strains finish between 49 and 56 days from seed. If you grow an auto for 90 days, you may as well grow regs from seed. My n/l took ages too, though it was a lovely high bongsmilie

Trust me, do Sweet Seeds Fast bud#2 once and you'll never look back (:

Mine are 31 days from seed, they'll be chopped by day 49-56. This is a truly supreme auto strain, forget all the other 'so called' quick strains, nothing can compete with fb#2.

Thanks man. I`ve found some of the buds in the other jars smells good. I added a little lemon
shell .I hope after curing a few weeks for the smell to come back, and the taste to be good. For now the taste is bad. Anyway I think it`s a good yield from 3 NL autos. You should low stress training your plants for a bigger yield. But that is just my first grower opinion.
