Auto flower question

Have recently cloned, have them on heat trays for about 5 weeks and then have had them sitting in with the mums for another three weeks in a tray while they build up a root system.

The mums are on an 18 hr cycle under one 400w

Two weeks ago moved them into the veg room and the have now started to go into flower even tho they are on the same light schedule and am feeding them veg newts.

I'm a little confused

They have been cloned off a female.

Have read that ladies grown from seed pre flower after the forth week of veg grow does this apply to clones also???

There has been some real cold weather and am wondering if this can be affecting them. When lights are on temp sits around 24 C and when off goes down to around 15 C

Here are some photo's

As to my understanding, an auto flower strain will flower at a certain maturity of the plant. If it's a clone attempt, it carries over the maturity of the mother Plant. Autos can and will flower even if you dont Change lighting and feeding.

There is no veg state on auto flowers, hence the name, they will flower under any light conditions. Secondly clones from an auto flower will be the same age as the mother and again no veg state. You cannot keep an auto flower vegging and take clones from it when you like, as you can with other strains. If you want to keep producing from that plant you will need to pollinate it and keep the seeds.

Hey guys,

thanks for the reply, my post refers to why my plants are showing signs of auto flowering (even though they are not autoflowers) the strain is White rhino, which i have grown for some time however in winter they seem to produce white pistles before the onset of the flower cycle. |Just want to work out if this has to do with the temps or whatever other cause.

Thanks

Quite a misleading thread title then. I was gonna say don't clone autos, its a waste of time. But seeing that you got rhino, I'm sure plants react to colder temps. Outside, when you have had colder nights plants do tend to bring out their flowers sooner. Must be something to do with the plants realising winter is coming and wanting to finish (creating seeds in theory) so that it can survive another year. Some advanced tecniques calls for altering the swing between night time temps and day time temps a bit more than usual a few times to force the plants to grow quicker. It's a bit of positive stress on the plants that do help them flower quicker. Tried and tested, not just theory. That's my two cents. Hope it helps.
