Auto Floweering White Buddha stealth grow behind my desk.

My grow journal for various auto flowering dwarfs I plan on growing stealthy behind my computer desk. My first White Buddha is less then a couple weeks away from harvest. And I have another WB that's only about 12 days old.

The WB that's gettin ready for harvest now is my first grow. She doesnt look so hot at the moment. I believe she has a Nitrogen deficiency at the moment. I'm finding that w/ the auto flowering strains the feeding schedule needs to be a little different. I am using FF btw. I should've started my plant on the Tiger Bloom food a lot earlier then I did.

I can only imagine what the yield is going to be for this first plant. This plant is certainly a lot smaller then I anticipated. I've got 3 42 watt CFLs on her, and one little CFL that I had extra. And as far as soil, I'm just using Expert Gardener, which I got at walmart.

I have them on a pretty erratic light schedule, but I dont see how it can be much of a problem if it's an auto flowering strain. For the most part I keep the lights on all the time. But every few days I will end up turning em off for a few hours. Just to give the plant some time to rest. Or if I'm leaving the house, or if people are coming down to the basement to do laundry, then I'll turn off the lights.

I got a few leaves dying on me, once again, because of the Nitrogen problem, I'm sure. I dont want to cut anything off though b/c I'm worried about putting the plant into any kind of shock. I already put her in a good amount of shock when I transplanted her the first time b/c I didnt wait for the roots to form a knot around the soil, so it all kinda came apart when I tried to repot. So other then a lil nute burn, nitrogen deficiency, and the trauma I put her through earlier, I would say she's doing alright. I'm just gunna be pissed if the yield sucks.

I'm debating if I should try and repot her now, or just let her finish in what she is in now. I just dont want to cause any more problems.

Anyway... I'm sure I'll be putting up more info a little later, but for now, here are my pics.

Any and all comments are more then welcome.

I went ahead and trimed her dying leaves. She's a lot more ascetically pleasing now. Well all signs point to the following being what's wrong w/ my plant:

"Nitrogen Deficiencies
Plants will exhibit lack of vigor, slow growth and will be weak and stunted. Quality and yield will be significantly reduced. Older leaves become yellow (chlorotic) from lack of chlorophyll. Deficient plants will exhibit uniform light green to yellow on older leaves, these leaves may die and drop. Leaf margins will not curled up noticeably. Chlorosis will eventually spread throughout the plant. Stems, petioles and lower leaf surfaces may turn purple."

But this plant is my first, so I'll get this right. All the info I need is out there. I'm thinking I'm gunna go ahead and just grow the remainder of my WD seeds, or start one of the free seeds I got w/ my order, like a white widow.

I just feed my plant some N rich food today. And now I'm just gunna give her water the rest of the week so I can ensure the best flavor for my buds. However retardedly small that amount will be.

My goal here is to be completely pot self-sufficient, where I wont have to deal w/ bullshit dealers to get my smoke on.

.......what was your soil originally, before you used any nutes?? They're definately lacking something. Could be a combo of things too. Might be a lock-out preventing the plant to uptake any nutes.... I 've never done autos, so I dont know how you go about nutes differently with them, but the TB your useing is hot shit, as is FF's Grow Big. I would think that in FFOF soil that you'd only need to use the Big Bloom for nute........
And yes, I am quite sure they're root bound complicating things more. It's a stress issue to replant in flower.......though you really need to. PH your water to 6.5-6.8 and give a good flush(at least three time the volume of the current pot), then transplant into something without the time released nutes, etc......Read up in the soil section for ideas on your soil..... and your still running a risk transplanting..........how far in are they?
Got a fan in behind there?? That's a pretty stealth set-up you've got yourself there! +rep4u!

Great luck to you!!

Awesome, thanks for the reply and +rep growing man. I'm defiantly gunna have to look into making myself a better soil mix. I'll add a picture of the dirt I'm using now. It was pretty much all I could find at walmart that wasnt miracle grow. Before I was using an organic version of the same brand.

I dont have anything to read the soils nute count or ph level. I do ph out my water though before adding the nutes. I'm just not really able to ph the water after the nutes, cause the nutes change the waters color, so I dont see how it would be possible to get an accurate reading then.

From what I read a little bit ago, is that w/ auto flowing strains it's more important to focus on the flowing nutes b/c they pretty much go stright into flowering after only a short veg/grow period.

The larger plant is something like 8 weeks in, so it only really about a week left to go. I can already start to see some hairs starting to turn brown.

I dont have a fan in there now. I just didnt bother, cause there's already ventilation enough that the temp doesnt gets too hot. But I do got a fan I can throw back there that isnt noisy at all, I may just do that. I really want to get desk lamps for my lights, so I can utilize my cfls the best I can.

I'm also gunna flush my plant like u advised, w/ plain ph balanced water. Which I'm able to adjust w/ less then a teaspoon of vinegar per gallon. I dont know if I'm gunna be able to work up the nerve to transplant her again. I mean, she's not that far away from being done.

The white buddha I got growing behind this one though, I'm gunna be sure to put in a larger pot once it's outgrown it's plastic cup. That way there will be no need to repot a third time.

How's it going in there now? That soil is not what you want/need, imo. I just say that because it says 'feeds up to nine months', which is as far as I read. And if you had benn using nutes on top of what they have in there.......just not a good mix for something only going to be growing for two months, you know.... too much this, not enough that......(unless your really into studying what does what, what's in there, what's not, what it's goign to need, etc). If your set on growing in soil and dont want to spend $15+ a bag(i.e., FFOF), you might want to try a coco coir mix, sunshine, or one of those that you control what's in it. A lot of soil growers prefer to mix their own.<---especially those that grow totally organic. But I think if you just growing a couple of plants the best thing to do would be to purchase a bag of mj specific soil(the hydro shops), like the FFOF or Roots Organics. You can get a bag of perlite and add about 1/3 of it to 2/3 to the soil you buy to help it drain and keep it loose. FFOF soil is pretty hot and I have burned fresh cuttings and seedlings with it though they alway pulled right through. If you dont veg very long, say 2 weeks, you really dont need any nutes added at all. I used all of their stuff and micros for years. Towards the end I only used their soil and Big Bloom<--(you can use it all through the cycle of life of the plant, not just in flower!). Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, IMO, are just goign to cause you problems.
I hear you on the transplanting at this stage.......hopefully you haven't.....just mark it up as learning---you'll still have some great smoke that you grew! So let us know how they're pulling through!
Something else: you really need to find out roughly what your pH is----from the 'run-off' that comes out of you pot. I dont know about the vinegar, just sounds like a lot. Subcool, has an awesome soil recipe in the organic section(I used the mix outside two years ago--great shit!), and I am sure there are others as well. IMO, your not really going to be mixing enough to make it worth-while, and I am sure you really dont want to be storing bags of soil......

Have a great week!!

Fuck me, I just typed for like 20 minutes then accidentally clicked away from the page and lost it all! >_< w/e *takes toke*

jsmokesdirty, the first seed I planted directly in the dirty and kept it warm by leaving the lights on the soil the whole time. I then ended up reading by most people that it's best to leave it in the complete dark, so I covered it up, and it sprouted shortly there after. About 4 days or so in total. I just kept the soil moist, and until it sprouted I covered it w/ cellophane to keep the moister in. Then the second seed I germinated in papertowles and setting it ontop my computer for heat. I used an over turned plastic cup to help keep the paper towl moist. And I would say both methods work equally well.

Growingman, what can I say man? Thanks alot for all the input, totally appreciated! And I guess ur right, these soils suck. I never did like the idea of them already having nutes. That's just gunna have to be next investment I make. I also need a new PH reader b/c apparently these drops arnt that accurate. I didnt think of trying to read the run off, I am going to have to do that. And no, I didnt repot it, I doubt it still had even formed a reasonable root bond, b/c it's a pretty chubby pot it's in. I did flush it with water when u mentioned it, though today I did feed it a little tiger bloom (1/4 recommended strenth) b/c I really dont know how much longer this plant is going to go before it's ready. I can only guess. So I'm trying to be optimistic that it's still gunna be some time before its done, and maybe bud out a little more. I mean, the buds are defiantly still growing.

And about the FF nutes, it's funny, I was actually thinking of doing the complete opposite. I was going to cut out the big bloom, b/c to me it just seems to be a general purpose nutrient, and for the moment, my dirt already has GP nutes. So I think I'm gunna try just using grow big then tiger bloom, but just make sure I use the smallest amount, or atleast start off w/ as little as possible. Like today I also decided to feed the second girl an 8th's worth of grow big. What I find odd though is that she's something like 14 days old, at least, and she's still so small. I'm guessin just a combo of dirt and light, which I would just need to get better dirt, and a nice lamp to have goin right over it maybe. That or my ph could be off a lil and its not gettin the nutes it needs? I dunno. You also said, and I quote, "I dont know about viniger, just sounds like alot." You mean, what I said I used sounds like alot? 1 tbl sp a gal, is what I think I said.

I was also using the fan for a few days, but I turned it off, cause there's enough air that goes through their, I dont feel a fan is very necessary, cause the cfls dont get that hot, and these White buddha plants seem to really like it hot.

Here are pics. I'm not sure what the brown spots are. They look like burns, but my lights arent that close. They're a good inch or two away from the leaves, and they dont get hot.

Here are some more pics I took last night. The big one is getting close to week nine, and the little one is about 2 and a half weeks old. I mentioned earlier something about adding a table spoon of vinegar to a gallon of water to bring my ph up. Well, that was just me taking a guess on the amount b/c I never actually measured the amount of vinegar I put in. This time I did measure, and it was about half a tea spoon I put in the gallon to give myself a PH of 6.0, then I tested the water that came out of the bottom of the pots after I watered them, and that was 6.4. So I think my PH is alright. The only reason I'm mixing my PH so low, is because when I started, I tested a bottle of spring water, and the ph read 6.0 w/ my ph tester. I dont feel like that should be too low. All I need now is some nutrient free dirt and some perlite.

I still guess I'm about a week or so away from harvesting the larger one. Maybe I'll get a whole eighth of bud from the harvest. :-| Either way, my grows can only get better from here. I dont have any molasses, so I'm thinking of just adding sugar to the last couple waterings, and see what that does. I'm just eager to smoke this hairy bitch! :D

I'm postponing starting my WW seed till I can make myself the proper dirt.

I'm also started to get a lil paranoid making this journal and posting on this forum. I mean, what says a narc cant just get on here and start hacking away for people's IP addresses? Oh well, cant be that much of a risk I figure, w/ the amount of people who post in these grow forums.

I dont have any new pics for today, but it's only a few days now from my last post. The older WB I'm going to harvest soon. I dont have a magnifying glass or jewlers eye to get a close look at the trichome. But just about all my leaves are dead or yellow, even though the buds are still bright green and all the trichomes still seem very white or clear. Half the hairs are all still white. But it is a WB, so alot of it probably is suppose to be white. Either way, I'm harvesting when I am so I can be done in time for Starscape. And besides, I like having more of a headdy smoke. (https://www.rollitup.org/attachments/grow-journals/417324d1242302388-tatan-s-first-grow-white-721when-harvest.jpg)

The soil is still rather damp on the oldest WB, but I'm just gunna let it dry out now, then put it in the closet for darkness tomorrow night, and leave it there till wednesday night. Then I'll take it out, chop it, and let it hang till Saturday. Then I should have a blunt of some nice stuff for the club. :D :D :D

I'm worried about my baby WB though. It's already three weeks old, and still very small. But that's not necessarily what I am worried about, b/c I remember my first WB being slow in the begining of growth, but then eventually picked up speed. But yea, my baby is really yellow. Only a little green in the very new growth, but everything else is really yellow. I am going to have to do some research, but I am thinking that I am gunna have to feed em some more of something. I've really only feed it a lil bit of Grow Big so far b/c there are already some nutes in the soil. But I have read that w/ autoflowers, ur probly best off feeding it bloom food the whole time, b/c they essentially skip vegetation cycle, and goes straight to flowering, so I think I am going to end up trying that. Though I am gunna see if I cant find anything w/ a little research. Most of which I am able to do w/ the awesome links they have in this forum, that is so awesomely organized. :joint::)

I cut and harvested my WB a few days ago. I got less then an eights worth. I tried to quick dry some, using different methods, all of which was crap. After about three days it dried naturally and the smoke was significantly better then trying to fast dry it. The smoke tasted really good, and the high was good, but I've had better. I ended up harvesting the plant a few days before intended, b/c all the leaves had pretty much turned yellow, and the smell of the plant started to turn sour. My younger WB is looking like shit, I dont know what is wrong. I am sure she will pull through though. She should be a lot happier when I transplant b/c I went out and got myself some perlite today. Though the only dirt I could find that didnt have plant food in it was top soil. I know I have to be able to find better shit then that.
