Auto Assassin Seed Harvesting

1- I have regular auto Assassin seeds. I want to know if I can keep a male alive for pollen in order to produce my own seeds.

2- Would those seeds breed true, like is auto assassin a stable strain.

3- Is it true all autos are not yet stable and produce 3-5 different phenotypes?

You are correct !!! take the pollen and store it until you are going to use it, then if you pollinate you will have a Assassin hybrid ( F-1) which will remain "true" except when you "add'" it to other strains. All seeds are some what un-stable. One can plant 3 seeds from the same "parents" and all will be different

Damb...F1 I though that was the product of two different strains....OK, I got more reading to do.

OK so if Auto Assassin is Automatic AK47 x Unknown Sativa (and Automatic AK47 is AK47xLowryder)

there's no point in growing a male for seed making right, cause the F1 could be anything...

If I want to produce my own seeds that breed true do I need to start with IBL seeds?

Think of it like this

Two parents have sex, a baby is born. That baby will NEVER be 100% match of the parents. Both parents have recessive and dominant genes. I don't claim to know a lot but when you think of breeding it goes the same for everything.

I get the dominant and ressessive part. But if two white parents are both auto assassin how could the seed become something else....isn't the strain stable?

In fact how did the gower even make my seeds? He's producing F1 hybrids with two different parents, every time?

So it's not just an auto assassin momma and an auto assassin poppa?

I found my answer in Greg Green's Cannabis Breeder's Bible. - Continuing a Strain Through Seed.

A male and a female from the same strain batch (same producer) will produce plants like the parents. I would not be making a hybrid because I would not be crossing different strains.

It's like when two black african parents from black african ancestors make a baby, you know the baby will have brown hair and eyes in 99% of the time.
