Ok so I have two auto ak47s going right now one is on day 58 or 59 and one still has a long time to go. Mary the one on day 58 is looking really behind compared to pics I have found of other auto ak47's at day 58. I mean like WAY BEHIND here are some pics. First two are of mine and then last is one that dpjones let me look at of his girl at day 57. We are both using the same lights but different nutes. I need some help guys I'm really confused. The only stress she had was very early on. She had an mg ca deff. And then I had to transplant her about two days after I found the deff. After that I corrected the deff and she was good until now. Maybe she is root bound or something? I have her in a 3gl pot so I didn't think root bound would be the answer but now I am thinking she is. +++++rep for help.

Ok I have now figured out the problem. The ph of Mary's soil was 4. Now my question is, is it too late to correct anything or should I just chalk this up as a loss? I'm really pissed that I forgot to check the ph of her soil. I used some ph up in a half gallon of water and got it to high 5's low 6's but that was after a full gallon poured through her. Should I keep going till I get the correct ph?

give up? r u nuts? check out some of my posts in this section today-u have a k deficiency going just like the 3 others I replied to. also, it looks like your ferts may be to high in N or you need to back off the N. those buds sites are just too green along with the entire plant.are u using just grow nutes? that is what it looks like. k def is common and your plants are at the beggining stages-which is tolerable if corrected. it could be from too low a ph and it getting locked out -u need to test the runoff- I bet it is in range. pick up some hydrated lime and add to to player of soil-will added mg and ca and help keep u at a nuetral ph of 7.
blow up that second pic and repost it

No I am using flower nutes from BMO npk 1-8-7 I just checked the ph chart and k is only useable from 6.1 to 9.0. I just got done flushing in the bathroom (took forever!!!!!!!) with higher ph water. I got the ph around 6.5 and called it quits on trying to fix the ph. I haven't used anything with high N since the first sign of hairs. Right before I saw hairs I did use a top dressing nute with an npk of 5-8-4 so maybe its still left in the soil. That was about a three and a half weeks ago. Now these are autoflowering plants. Do you think I have time to turn her around? Or should I just be happy with the little bit that I do get off of her? I mean my BURNT ASS plants from last grow were WAY FATTER by now. She only has like 12 days left till harvest. I was planning on letting her go to all hairs are red anyways. I just hope I caught it in time for my other auto ak.

I now see why people spend so much money on good soil. This just really pisses me the hell off man. I've put so much work into this girl and then forgot to ever check the ph of the soil.

and I never said I was going to give up let me rephrase that I WILL NEVER GIVE UP. Just chalk it up as a loss or a FUCK UP, that I need to learn from next time.

So I think I figured out how my ph got so low. I remember reading somewhere that some liquid organic nutes have a tendency to mess with the ph in hydro, I didn't think anything about it cause I'm in soil. Because I know I checked the soil ph all through veg and it was 7 but just kinda forgot during flowering cause she is the farthest away from the door. I also never checked my water's ph AFTER I added the nutes. Before adding the nutes it is 6.5 after I let it sit out for a couple days (tap water). So I'm geussing that it lowered the ph of the water and slowly over each watering I lowered my soil ph to were the nutes couldn't even be used. They were in the soil lol till I just got done flushing with about 5 gallons trying to fix the ph.

Will the Dolomite Lime at Lowes be the same thing? I'm pretty sure but just want to make sure. I need to go pick some up tommorrow after I get off work. I've still got a good 2 weeks until Mary's harvest date (the full 70 days from seed to harvest) but I think I am going to let her go another week past that date. Still got 100 percent white hairs so maybe I'll still be able to pull something out of her.

I'm 99% sure you've just been overfeeding them. Even if the BMO is 1% N... those leaves are dark and the tips are burnt. Low pH could have been caused by a buildup of nutes and flushing was the best thing you could have done. I would suggest you use water only from now until harvest.

right on, now u r thinking. fine dolomite lime is ok but hydrated is better-quicker absorbtion. very well could have delayed budding, so extra time is a good idea. hopefully budding was only delayed and not diminsihed.

Over feeding her? Your true though if the soil ph was to low then the nutes just sat in there and built up. I'll cut out the nutes on here. I'll have to snap you a pic of my other ak that still going right now. I caught her just at the right time to still save her she just started flowering.

Ya see thats what I'm thinking. Cause they only have a 70-75 day life span I was thinking to my self well what if she just doesn't do anything when I keep her past the 70 days? Oh well ummmm deff am going to pick up Ocean Forest and a better ph soil pen.

I'm about to go and pick up the lime right now. How much do you think I should put in there. And can I just lay it on top of soil ( I can't really get to the soil all those strings and branches in the way. And would it be alright to flush another 2gl through Mary? I know I just did it two days ago but I wanna see a little bit of bud. Right now they are all popcorn looking buds.

Ok I am in the process of the second flush right now. I REALLY HATE the soil that Mary is in. The drainage sucks. I already finished the second flush on Jane. Checked ph of soil afterwards and it is right below 6. I guess with the next flush and more lime on top I will even out the ph. Atleast now when I stick the tester in at different spots I don't get different readings. That was really pissing me off the other day. Anyways thanks guys for all your help. Wish I could roll one up and pass it around.
