Head South on Interstate 35. You'll get there eventually. If you hit San Antonio, you've gone too far.

If you are coming from the West Coast, stay on Interstate 10 until you hit Junction, then head East on Hwy 290. It's a seet ride through he Hill Country. If you miss Junction and find yourself in San Antonio, you've gone too far. Head North on I-35. You'll get there eventually.

Lucy in Disguise is a costume shop on South Congress.

Highly recommended.

yeah, I worked there at Halloween one year, and worked at a coffee shop just down the street too.

There were some good coffee shops in Austin back then: Ruta Maya on 4th Street; the place on the drag (Quackenbush?) just South of University Baptist; and the old house on the drag there in North Campus not far from Dirty Martin's. I can't remember the name of the place.

There's always Flipnotics!

I had to leave Austin in September when I realized it had become Seattle.

I do miss Veggie Heaven and Chuy's.

I worked at ruta maya too! I know what you mean. I lived close to down town for almost 20 years and moved to the hill country. Spider house or Mojo's probably as to the old house/coffee shop.

Yeah, Mojo's Daily Grind. It's all coming back to me now. I think that house is a Turkish hookah parlor now. It's purple.

I miss Toy Joy, too. Nice little selection of Elvis collectibles that always changes.

just come down to San Antonio..take a right on 1604-35 interchange...and toke it up in south texas

Yes I miss austin even when I'm there now. One great little place that has just started in the last year or two is Torchy's Taco's....They are the Best of the Best. They even have a little airstream-kitchen add on called Shuggie's at one of thier places on south first.

I am in the ATX. This question is for everyone. How can you really know a person is not a cop for off board meetings? Is there a way that you can clear yourself on the basis of entrapment or something? A form, waiver, declaration? Do you just have to get them naked? Have them rob a liquor store? Extreme example, but you know something a cop wouldn't do? Tinsley, not saying you are a cop but you know...its really an unknown.
