Austin Reggae Fest AKA Marley Fest - Austin

Ok so I’m browsing the threads and I’m finding that there are a lot of fellow Texans heading to or going to Marley Fest...I have never been but have heard great things...There is a growing community out here...Let’s get together and get and RIU tent have a lil RIU cannabis cup...Not really a competition but more of a Pot Luck pun intended...lol

There used to be two separate events. The official Bob Marley Fest and the Austin Reggae Festival. In the 90's they were a week or two apart at the same place.

It looks like they merged, or the Reggae Festival won.

Give my regards to Auditorium Shores.

They charge admission now? Too bad.

In my day, both events were free.

Hmm.. I didn't know that. I wonder why they merged the two. I bet its more crowded now since they did that.

Shit, I have to go to this... Didn't even know (I live in Round Rock, right out of austin) WHO WANTS TO CARPOOL!!!! (and smoke the reefer )

for those that have been there before what types of tents do people have that they allow ppl to smoke in...are they like camping tents or canopy tents...

ALL kinds of tents!!! Get there early if you want to set up a tent! It was wall to wall tents out there last year.
Smokin is very open and friendly! Dont worry about the gates they dont really look.
Hope to see some RIupers out there!!

i will be out there sat and sun...so if i dont set a tent up is it ok to still blow out in the open...

Yea dude! I watched a guy a brand new peice and walk five feet and load it! I saw a guy smokin on a four footer in the middle of the grass! Its all good man, no worries!

defffinetly ill be up there the 16 & 17 will be renting a tent with my friend and any RIU fellow friend is welcome to join will have mushrooms to i 2nd a POT-LUCK deff let me know ahead of time so we can all meet up !!

Sad that I'm just now getting around to planning this out haha.

Ya thats what im sayin. I think a flag or banner is the best route. I proably make a little flag to go on my backpack or something.
Id really like to get together with some other growers in south texas, but not interested in getting together with someone that smells of bacon.

Spring is here people and that means sweet weather for outdoor fests. Austin reggae is clearly one of the best! get out there, lay back in the tall grass and blaze one with your girl...we be jammim an da blunt tis tight!

summer will be here quick (at least here in the south) and then it will be fucking hot as hell for sleeping out doors. gotta hit this spring transition while it lasts.

and for yall that are worried about toking, there is definitely no reason to worry...you will see that shortly after you arrive

also I am down to meet up..ill have a tent..we need to figure something out..maybe i can put something up that is easily recognizable

I live an hour from Austin...I'm going
