No man, not personally, i dont like that idea though, if the ballast fails then you lose all lights, if you run seperate ballasts, if one fails at least there is still lumens on your ladies, great in theory but not majorly practical IMO.

yeah i agree if i was to run 2 lights i would prefer 2 ballast for the exact same reason but given the same token i only run one light and would have that prob anyways lol
on another note i have posted some fresh pics in my new journal (top one in sig) only the grafts and veg cab at moment might get some flower cab shots l8r and post em

Hey my fellow aussies just a couple of quick questions here, are there any soil/fert mixes available locally (sa) that can be used for the entire grow, don't mind adding a couple of things but just want to water h20? Something like fox farms soil or happy frog. Also, what size buckets does everyone use for diy air pruning pots? Due to the air pruning of the roots can the bucket/pot size be smaller that usual? And anyone in sa interested in swapping genetics? I'll have some new strains soon some people might be interested in. Thanks in advance everyone, feel free to stop by and check out my journal! Ben

am wanting to give honey oil a whirl however am having a bit of trouble identifying the quality of the butane we can get here. from what i have read you want 5 times filtered butane?
have tried a few places - bunnings & a couple of tabaconists, and they seem to only have these generic as shit cans with barely any info on them so i am unsure how as to proceed.
most of them have un1057 labelled on the can however i believe this is used to identify the contents to whoever transports them?
does anyone have much experience with bho & can recommend me a brand of butane sold locally in aus and/or where got yours from???

quick question for all out there. using 2x 130w cfl, 1 is 2700k and the other 6500k for my grow box of 2 autoflowers. the bulbs are hanging down for the said area's roof. if the plants were to grow into the bulbs and i couldn't move the bulbs any higher, what might the likely outcome be, given the CFL's arent putting off too much heat. cheers everyone

sorry i cant help dude as ive never tried. If you want JUST water then you would have to make your own i think. Maybe get some compost, GOOD soil (use bag not your garden), dynamic lifter and potash? That should contain all the shit you could need right?
On a different note.... FUCK YOU SPIDER MITES!!!!!! Little shits have gotten into my tent and im pissed! 5 strains and about 15 plants...if i lose even one i will nuke every single last bug on this planet! That said i have made a start and gotten some eco-neem and yates mite gun to spray on the eggs and crap, then i just set up some flea bombs to nuke the little bastards!
Whats everyones pref for gettign rid of the lil shits?

hey sicka.... i do batches of BHO and i just use any can to tell you the truth, you will never now the refinement plus its full of hydrocarbons anyway....sup guys,

What they mean is cooking it over after they have evap'd the butane out, this can be done in an oven on very low heat over a period of time, or you can just vacume purge a few times untill you see it buble and turn itself nearly inside out. Vacume purging is hell quicker but if ya gots the time a fews hours in the oven depen how low you can get it but simply spreading the oil load over a bowl and "getting its surface area maxed out you will gain good results in filtering your already evap'd BHO hope this helps if i wasnt such a stoner i would link you up but as of now im knocked out by my very own BHO....how ironic lol

Just keep switching up the treatments from tobacco juice to neem, to bombs as they are resiliant fuckers!!! thats what i hear is best...please correct me if im wrong experienced mite killer's (grower's)
