Use a couple of 23 watt CFLs for your lighting - they give off a decent amount of heat when the heat is allowed to build up and should warm that space easily.
The only problem is i need to give the poor guys 12 hours of light (can be indirect but shrooms is one thing i must hide from the family) and 12hours of those bulbs would probably drive the temps too high if i left them on for 12? Im thinking something with a built in thermo would be nice....or guy a kill switch one. Depends on price.

Heat mat with a thermostat be it hydro or for reptiles.

if they have started flowering on there own they wont reveg. try putting them somewhere in the open so they can soak in the rays all day.

i run retro fit on my jb and np and from what i read about digital ballast unless you buy specific globes made for digital ballast you will more than likely have problems the retro fit globes are made to work with magnetic ballast
odlaw, other way round man, quoted directly from PowerPlant Info Sheet;

Professional Grow Lamps
Super reliable replacement lamps. PowerPlant lamps are tailored to promote optimum development at each plant growth stage. The PowerPlant arc tube dosing technology achieves more usable light energy without sacrificing the intensity or lamp life.

Benefits of PowerPlant Lamps:
* Efficiency - PowerPlant lamps provide more lumens per watt than other lamps.
* Retrofit - PowerPlant MH Retrofit lamps are designed to run on the same control gear as your HPS.
* Safety - No over-running of the lamp, these lamps are specifically designed to run on the one set of HPS gear.
can i ask, why are you running a MH retro fit in a magnetic ballast, why wouldnt you be running a standard MH lamp ? The idea behind these Retro fits is to cut costs on light kits, so using the same control gear you can run both MH and HPS......

LOL - as long as its working for you than no need to change i suppose odlaw !!

I'm having the sam issue only mine are guerilla, so I went to bunnings bough a bunch of small $2.50 solar lights and placed them around my plants, They have been sufficient in the past to stop flowering and cause revegging.

Not good for stealth though.

.....i donno if this is right tbh? Odlaw hit the head on the nail i thought? As you said retros are to save the cost of buying a seperate ballast. Digitals however tend to be designed to run both without the need to use a retro (ie. Just run a standard HPS and MH on the digital). Magnetics however require the use of the retro.

SIDE NOTE: Seem to have fucked up on my r/DWC as the Jock isnt too happy :( I have fed them NO nutes yet (they in clay balls) but i am feeding them root tonic and H2O2. It's a two bucket system and one of them was to be used to spray with CS and turn male. The problem is it seems the CS plant is turning brown/yellow on the edge of the leaf and curling up. Its not TOO bad but its noticable and seems to be getting worse :( The non CS one is SLIGHTLY yellow but in the centre of the leaf and no curl.

Im thinking maybe the [H2O2] is too high or maybe the Ph is too variable (5.8 - 7.1), but then this would cause problems in both plants? Has anyone used CS (looking your way GOD) and then had the plants go funny on them?

Also i got one of those digital microscopes.....they fun to look at plants :D .....and various body cavities lol.

Not really they only have a single LED at present I am using 4 per plant (2 foot tall and 2 foot across) and put them on sticks for my taller plants, thats what revegged my plants last time and for the extra few $ I am not gonna risk the extra weeks of veg time. The best value ones I found were the individual lights those ones you posted are ~$20 cheaper at bunning If I remember correctly.

I am trying to work out how to string up some chrissy lights (led ones) on a 9-12v battery on a solar trickle charger as I have quite a few dodgy lights with functioning solar panels, this is something I'll ask my more electrically inclined mates.

Actually something like this is already made and cheap as chips.

I'll probably buy some and do a write up on how effective these are after I finish my new guerilla plots for next season.

For autos (Jock Horror) when should i start feeding nutes? I heard you dont feed much during veg in autos?

Its in r/DWC and clay balls. So far i give root tonic, h2o2 and some silica (help with the heat stress)

the days have actually started to get shorter so no matter what you do theyre gonna start budding or showing sex from now onwards the rain and other stimuli probably added to the mix

buddy were having the same problem i think it is the h202 affecting the plant im gonna cut back the dose aswell and as if thats not enough i also got my pocket microscope today but i wasnt looking at cavities i was checking on the trics on the last buds of my last years grow... now i know why it was such good hooch!!

i think all you need to do now chunky is cut down some trees for the cops and make a runway lol those lights would be a beacon for not only the fuzz but for potential crop robbers and im thinking with little benefit to your plants not to mention the light reflecting off the solar panels would stick out to any overhead planes/helecopters.... im not having a go but i hate people getting ripped off

1st, the police in QLD do not have a chopper, they may hire one at the peak of the season whenmy lights are long gone if the budget permits, that is not likely as they spend more than half their budget investigating dirty cops.

2nd I grow in a private area where I have lived for 2 decades and no one goes near my spot ever, nor would they have any inclination to do so, going through 200m of dense Lantana for the fun of it dos not rate highly on people to do list. Not to mention the snakes (stood on one this season) and goanna's (full grown and nasty buggers)that inhabit the area probably causing them some grief.

3rd the light from a few solar lights is about 3/5ths of fuck all, even less when partially obscured by a plant and being in a hole. BUT it is enough to put a plant back into veg.

Trust me having been busted before I have put more thought into this than you and I suggest anyone planning to use this method do the same. Yes this increases m risk of getting busted but it is a risk I am willing to take to get a few more months veg.

so instead of buying some crap to make my powerleads waterproof (for my outdoor DWC) i just relized i could just extend my airpump tubes so i bought 20metres of airpump tubing today...works a treat.
