LoL- I just got a new light also-
Viparspectra xs 1000 to supplement my larger lights. I have 2 of the Mars hydro lights and I like them a lot.
I think Mars uses LG led’s which are of good quality. I also have Bloom Plus and now this Viparspectra, both use the Samsung 301B.
I was searching for any threads on the Photone app and found this thread.
I recommend this app now as the updates are really good.
Very simple for me to adjust DLI at each plant.
As I stated I have some different brands and different size light fixtures so I set by dialing in the DLI number with the dimmer on each light.
Very easy to get even coverage on everything.
I started by buying larger fixtures but I have found I can get better coverage with several smaller lights. I also have headroom issues so the smaller fixtures can fit in between the floor trusses to take advantage of every inch of height. They use the same diodes so the brightness is the same.2631C3D8-6081-4F21-953A-BDB164C25E5E.jpeg1F115476-C9AE-45E3-964C-697611881627.jpeg3CEA80FE-5E09-4FA6-9835-B68E30058BBA.jpeg

Asking for some advice. I have some 2 week old Chiquita Banana Fems going indoors.
Unfortunately I have some tiny green caterpillars eating them. Any ideas for an organic
solution to this problem. I pick off the ones I can see but as I said they are tiny. Cheers.

I wouldn’t bother worrying about the diodes those particular brands are claiming to use. They just grab whatever they can cheap. For the price but the lights look alright considering knockoff drivers etc.

You are probably correct. The Viparspectra is the first one I have seen with the LM301B printed on the board but honestly I have 3 different brand lights and you can’t see any difference in the output. The plants don’t care.
The Samsung 301B are supposedly a bit more efficient. Marketing

It comes down to a whole lot more than just being a particular diode for efficiency and it’s not hard to print something on a pcb. The things they skimp on and don’t talk about are more inportant like copper thickness in the pcbs and under rated copper wire.

Most hobby growers won’t see a difference but as they aren’t in a position to chase 1-2% increases in a grow.

Yeah my Sammie F strips have LM561C diodes which are pre LM301B. Still rocking some Gen 2 EB strips and Vero COBS from 2016. They all still murder the equivalent wattage of HPS so fuck it.

Anyone on here had any luck making oil or bought anything worth buying to help a dog with cancer?

our American staffy just got the bad news.

cheers people!
CBD treats or something sad or you can do is numb the pain, one of my dogs riddled with it but doesn't faze him he runs around like a mad man, his hips are gone to, still only a pup too and his mum's about to die my favourite dog, beautiful pit bull the colour of beach sand
