Did the up potting to final pots today. Good timing to as they were all root bound. Not much growth this week due to topping last week.

The Pineapple express #2's are a bushy bugger. Shame they will be in small self watering pots.

The northern lights are a pretty plant

But not as pretty as the Strawberry Amnesia. Sativa's and the more Sativa doms are beautiful.

Couple pics of the tent and the exhaust set up. No where near as professional as some but not bad for the limited budget I spent.
I will probably have to upgrade the exhaust fan for a summer grow.

If you see any problems, potential problems or downright stupid please let me know. Pots and I dont get on to well...

Here's me attempting to get into scrogging. Got a few other things to sort before summer too. Proper exhaust fan for one. Need another circulation fan. And to finalize the scrubber.

Squares might be a little small bro but i found scrogging to be not only good for keeping your plants level but also a bit of fun (like a jigsaw puzzle). I made my own box and put some extra timber on each surface and put screws in every 2 inches or so and used fishing line, worked perfectly. once the plants were done you cut the fishing line, easy!

Getting an exhaust system soon as well as a tent that isnt full of light leaks, what size is your ducting? 5 inch?

How did you go with the fishing wire ? Was thinking of this but was worried it might cut into the plant ?

Nah it doesn't cut the plant, just don't get the really thin stuff get at least 15 pound line and it will be fine it didn't cut my plants at all and being able to just cut it off when you are done is pretty awesome. string works just as well just don't buy the soft stuff cause you will get fabric on your buds.

Sweet i was thinking of going 4 or 5 inch but i wasn't sure. The 4 inch looks like it's plenty in your pics might just do that.

Another option for scrog wire which is cheap and cheerful and gentle on plants is bricklayers string. 100 meters a roll for bugger all from Bunnings. You can get fluoro colours too if that's your thing

I use 3x3 and its pretty much perfect. I've tried smaller which was a pain. Haven't tried any bigger yet so cant comment on 4x4

Hey all fairly new on here but have done a fair bit of research and am stuggling to find a suitable grow medium for my plants. Has anyone got any advive on what too buy for a decent grow medium? Possibly from a well known aussie store? Bunnings or something like that?

You can get perlite, vermiculite and soil from bunnings. If you go soil, get mushroom compost and add some blood n bone, composted cow manure, garden lime, sphagnum moss, coco coir and some organic phosphorus :) if you are using synthetic nutes, go with perlite and vermiculite!

Would you possibly have a recipe to follow for the organic mix?

And will that soil mix get me right through a grow?

I think I put one up in this thread here a week or so ago mate, just go back a couple pages and it should be there. There is also a post by Lucky Luke not long after it with some additions.

If you use the recipe we put up a few pages back, yep, it should get you through. You'll need to top dress with worm castings, more phosphorus and some potash sulfate in early and mid flower but otherwise, it should last you all the way through :)
