Nice I know a few people who love wonder woman. Must try that one soon.

my new project is going to be a 4 site undercurrent system with a bit of a twist making each bucket more like a waterfarm than a dwc. Got most of the components today. Construction starts tomorrow.

I cant wait to get it up and running and to show it off here

but i only want to share it with my aussie friends lol

i am starting from scratch and here is the beginning of the build

its going to be awesome. 4 waterfarms style grow sites with air column pumps for max d/o to the roots. undercurrent beneath that with the full volume of water being circulated every 2 minutes and run through a flume for maximum d/o again. the res will have a float valve for auto top ups so it will be able to run for at least a week without any water needing to be added. the buckets will always have a constant level of water even in the event of a pump failure or power outage so it will be disaster proof (to a point anyway). external res and control bucket so i can check ph etc even during lights out.
flushs will be as simple as turning a tap to reroute the water coming from the pump out to a drain tube and into a waiting bucket.

i have been planning this little project in my head for a while and i am super excited about it so please forgive me if im coming across a little... i dunno.... annoying hahahaha

its just this system is going to address every issue i have ever had with any of my other hydro systems and i feel like this is the system i might just stick with for the rest of my days

well its finished and i still have most of my hair left. there were a couple of fristrating moments just tweaking line diameters and playing with different style taps and getting the flume just right etc but in the end i got it exactly where i want it.

oh i did make one minor change and that is i got rid of the waterfarm pumping columns because they were too noisy. instead i plumbed a feed line off of the main pump and control pressure with taps

please excuse the mess, i had a helluva time tweaking this to be just right and tried many different combinations of taps etc and by the end of the build my shed looked like a bomb had gone off

the whole system is aerated by that flume in the control bucket, there is no airstones in the whole system. considering the rate that water is exchanged (the whole volume is swapped every 2 mins, so 30 times an hour) and it is pumped through this flume which generates way more d/o than any airstone ever could

That work is going to pay of well done...i dont see clay balls used much anymore thats how i used to run my hydro years ago ...got some huge root systems

i like lay balls, i can run a constant feed in clay balls without having to worry about overwatering or anything like that, they work for me one less thing to worry about.

although im kind of thinking i could have made it a lot easier on myself and just filled the top pots with coco and had a wick dropping down into the lower section and not had to mess around with drip rings or anything

well there aint nothing wrong with that its tried and tested and proven to work. KISS

my problem is i like the build, the planning and the construction and seeing it all bubbling away. it gets me just as excited as growing does

my seeds have cracked so probably be a day or 2 before they go into the system but the strain is going to be killer.

They all look great wolf. I have a feeling that money maker is going to be a star I would take cuttings. That strain rocks from what I have seen online
