I am a HUGE fan of Glann Beck ... but I'm no Birther. If you can find one post that I've made supporting the birthers, please post it.

Now with that said, make a list of the areas in which Beck is wrong and post that as well. :bigjoint:
Some may see Beck as an idiot. But I think he knows exactly what he is doing! He knows his fans will never bother to check if he is right or being a hypocrite. He also knows all he has to do is wipe his ass with a book and it will be a New York Times best seller. The more extreme he gets the more popular he becomes. He is no idiot by any means.

I watched Glenn Beck for 30 minutes only ONE day this week and was astounded by the ignorance and misinformation during that short period of time.

What i saw was apparently his recap and somehow his way of proving Obama and some White House staffers are Chairman Mao supporters and therefor must be communists themselves I guess. He cited an excerpt from a speech Anita Dunn gave. An excerpt from a speech given by Ron Bloom. Last but not least, a CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT on the white house christmas tree with chairman maos picture.

Here is what Glenn Beck DID NOT mention!

The speech given by Anita Dunn was his best argument only because she should have known some right wing stooge like Beck could easily take her words out of context. She cited her favorite political philosophers as Chairman Mao and Mother Theresa. Beck stops there of course. Disregarding the comment was made in IRONY. Favorite political philosophers being Mao and Mother Theresa! HELLO! A murderer and a saint!!!!!

Next Beck cited a quote by Ron Bloom.
"We agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun"
Is that quote NOT true all over the world? Did we not just change political powers in two countries from the barrel of a gun?

Finally, and this shows Becks absolute lunacy. Beck cited an ornament on the White House Christmas tree that along with other pictures contained a picture of Mao. Again what Beck didn't even mention is the picture was of a painting by Andy Warhol in which Mao is given lipstick, blue eye shadow, and rosey red cheeks. It is a painting of pure satire and if anything would have been offensive to Mao or Mao supporters. Not to Glenn Beck though. Apparently to him it was the final bit of proof he needed.

More shit you will NEVER hear from Glenn Beck because he is a HYPOCRITE.

Beck enjoyed pointing out the times Anita Dunn and Ron Bloom quoted Mao. I wonder why he isn't as outraged that Newt Gingrich quoted Mao in 1995 roll call profile.
“War is politics with blood; politics is war without blood”

Oh my, it doesn't end there. How about John McCain quoting Mao! I guess Beck ran out of time to put this clip on his show.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYJ15vbo15w

Are Gingrich and McCain both closet communists too? Hell Richard Nixon went to China to shake hands with Mao. OMG we have had closet commies as Presidents for longer than i thought!!!!! Help me jesus! Help me jewish god! Help me Glenn Beck!

That's great that his history of the progressive movement is spot on, but what does that have to do with his accuracy?

Now with that said, make a list of the areas in which Beck is wrong and post that as well.
But seriously you read books like 'liberal fascism' and get yourself worked up, But yet you would chastise people who read Michael Moore's book and feel the same way about the right.

you pretty much nailed it right there. there will always be a market for coded "white christian america under attack!" speech. people will not research because there is nothing to research. its all based on illogically drawn conclusions. thats pretty much his whole schtick.

obama wears white boxers + hitler wore white boxers = obama is hitler.

i disagree about the man's intelligence though. his acting ability may be argued as at least mediocre, but it doesnt require much intelligence to be a demagogue. only a gift for exploiting the prejudices of others and a complete lack of a moral compass.

I never liked Beck, think he is simply not very bright, and am an avowed birther. Beck and OReilley have jumped to the conclusion that the birth notices in the newspaper prove Obama was born in Hawaii. Neither they nor their staffs have dug deep enough to learn that those notices are generated by the issuance of a COLB, and that it is a matter of fact and record that a COLB in 1961 could be issued for a baby born abroad.

But no matter. The issue is dead. Obama has won and is getting away with it. The attention now is on preventing it from happening again. many states are passing laws that full documentation must be made public before a candidate can be on the ballot. This will be in place by 2012. When Obama does not run for re-election, you'll know why. He has spent over a million to maintain the coverup to get through this term, he knows he can't get away with it again.

Geeze, hanimmal ... are you actually comparing Jonah Goldberg with Michael Moore?

If you would take the time to read Liberal Fascism, I think you'd be impressed with the historical accuracy and the research that went into the book. Michael Moore, on the other hand, is nothing but a cut & paste propaganda artist.

Pardon me, but what do you know of historical accuracy? Because what is probably a right wing author said it was? I admit Im not familiar with the book so I can't say if it is accurate or not. But you yourself proclaim to be a Glenn Beck fan. Does he have historical accuracy too? Perhaps you would like to respond to my post from above regarding Beck and his Mao accusations from just the other day.

You mean the fact that he decided (idiotically admittedly) that he thought communism is a good thing, when he was a young black college kid during the racial turmoil that was happening during the early 90's?

Seriously that is when he said that (because I had to dig to find it earlier when this was all going on), in 92 or 93 when he was 22. Think of how many stupid ideas you had when you were that age.

To most people that have very little communism sounds like a good thing, until you actually do 5 minutes of research on your own that is. But that is not what we teach our youth.

Instead we have traditionally forced them into believing everything that adults tell them, and that they see on the news. And that continues, one thing I do applaud all the newly named "Libertarians" is that they are adamant about telling kids to take what they learn with a grain of salt and to question everything that their professors tell them.

Now to only get them to do the same with their news sources like Glenn Beck, conservative radio/internet, and books.

Do you have the citation where he more recently recanted that?

My understanding is that Van Jones became a communist while serving a prison sentence.
