Attic grow

Anyone done a attic grow before? I have a attic room and am thinking about putting it to good use.

My concern is the heat up there as it’s a lot warmer than the house. Temps are up in the uk this summer and seems typical as I get the space.

The room it’s self is 5m long and 2.5m wide it’s around 1.8 in the eves to around 2.2m at the peek.

I have a 12” rvk fan and rhino pro filter spare so I’m thinking oF using that. I’m open unsure if the lights best for the space I use the lumi digi balists in my other room and they seem cooler so thinking they could be ok? I’m unsure of how many plants to put there and I’m open to any suggestions with the best set up to keep the temps down the best way possible without putting a/c in

Oh no bro you're gonna have to put an a.c. in no way around it on top of making sure you have proper ventilation up there(open evethrough, ridge vent).

No way :( I have two ridge vents either side was going to use one for a inlet nice big extractor and one outlet run the light at night and get good circulation there. I don’t want anyone to go there to be fair and I can’t fit a a.c man

It’s 22c at half 8 and in the morning today so it’s warm in there Ill get exacts as soon as I can. I’ve been looking and instead of having one installed do you think the portable office ones would be ok?

If you have that much space just get a dual port a.c. they're only small find one used for $150. Exhaust and intake out of the ridge vent if the vent is nowhere near the room cut another one, honestly it would be nice to put a ridge vent the entire length of the roof.

Great read! Never felt so luck that it’s already converted now. Ive put the 12” rvk with a rhino pro in there with a 10” inlet from the eves put them on speed control so I can put it up or down come winter/summer give it a go today to see how well it does. I’m going to put 24 plants in there on autos under the omega lumii 1000s bags of space Left for working. I’m looking to put a small temporary wall to split the stairs that does up there from the room to try and control the noise and smell does anyone have any ideas on what I could use? Thanks again guys

I was just about to say, theres guy on here I know grows in the uk in an attic and he does the same thing. Massive extraction, massive intake and temps stay same as ambient.

For wall just build a stud wall. 2x4 and plaster board. Cheapest way. Smell shouldn't be an issue with proper filter and negative pressure!

It,s a hell.. If it isnt insulatet you litteraly can grow from 3rd month till june..In summer or even in spring temps are aronud 30c and higher, and in fall and winter they are from 15c to -4/10 depends on outside temps..
