Ok so i couldnt find my last 2 42w cfl that a bought a while ago so i made a trip to home depot.(had to bike 12 miles, but thats a whole nother story)

so i went with intentions of buying 2 68w 4200lumen cfl that i saw there previously, but when i got there i was browsing there selection of bulbs and found a 4 pack of 23w 2700k 1600 lumen bulbs for $3.97!!!! thats 6400 lumen for $4!!! the last time i was there these bulbs were $10

the 68w bulb was $14 and only had 4200 lumen.

so the point is if your in need of side lighting you should run to home depot and pick up these bulbs.

hope i helped someone out.

edit: however the y-splitters are still expensive as fuck... had to pay 7.44 for 3

yeah more often than not smaller bulbs have a relatively larger lumen per watt ratio than the big boys and they're alot cheaper my 105w cost 35 i could have gotten so many 23w bulbs

Nice, but have you seen the 2700k 26watt 12pack for $20 bucks you cant beat it

12bulbs X 1800lumes = 21,600 lumes/per20 bucks

yea but you only need 4 to equal your wattage(well almost) and they would probly have more lumens.

that being said i wouldn't mind having myself 1 big ass cfl rather than a bunch of small ones sometimes.
