Attention HLG Diablo users

I just purchased the 650R along with another 5 x5 tent and ac infinity blower and controller, however this thing seems like a serious beast how do you guys maintain all that distance from the canopy? Is any body really running at full power in a 5x5? I can’t find any journals on it. I currently use 600 watts total with 4 different Mars hydro led in my 5x5 and plan to have two tents flowering to harvest every month but if I’m not running the diablo at full power it seems like a waste maybe I’ll get the gorilla tent with the extended roof lol I don’t know I just hate to over spend on equipment but want to experiment with high end lighting also I’m soil not hydro so I plan on using 4 or 5 plants in ten gallon pot under that beast plenty of room for roots and nutes

Mine is incredibly bright at the 8 setting on the dimmer, that's all I'm using now in a 4' X 4'.

not running the light at 100% power will give your equipment longer lifetime
That isn't a bad thing, and you could always down the road upgrade to a 5x5

With LEDs you should be powering them with a power stabilizer. AC fluctuates from the wall, and this can melt diodes or jack up the power drivers and fry diodes from fluctuations in amperage.
Check out Line-R stabilizer. Amazon has a bunch of options.

If you bought it from HLG just call them. You might have to send a email in with a pic showing to bad led. Tell them your in the middle of a grow. I bet they send you a replacement board right out and you ship the bad one into them. If you have skills you will have it replaced and running in no time.

I've got a dual 260 Rspec with UVA-30 I'm putting in my 3' x 3' Gorilla tent when I flip to flower. And I plan on using every bit of it the plants can take. Put my AC Infinity on the outside top of the tent so I can raise the light as high as I need.

I'm not going to debate led components as I'm just a simple journeyman Mason. All I know is before my line r voltage regulator I was melting diodes. Haven't had one go out since.

If ac fluctuations killing diodes were a thing, manufacturers would install them on their lights.
Would be silly to warranty lights otherwise
