It is a hemorrhagic fever, basically it weakens all your tissue. You begin to bruise inside and out. You begin to bruise for no reason at all. You begin to bleed out, internally or externally. Your organs turn to mush, usually liver first, others follow shortly after, which causes systemic organ failure. If that doesn't kill you then combo of your body cells literally dying from the inside out; the system-wide clots your body is producing in an attempt to curtail the internal and external bleeding; the organ system loss; and the associated hypovolemia and hypotension would finish you off...

So, in a recap, it turns your body to mush. Mush that is deadly contagious.

The real problem becomes containment, IMO.

If it makes you feel better, we in the US have proper technique and equipment to safely deal with such a virus. Most hospitals in the country have sufficient hygiene protocol and personal protective equipment protocols to effectively deal on a small scale with outbreak, not to mention that most hospitals would have some type of place to quarantine said patient. The issue there would be with sheer patient volume the system would get easily overloaded.

I hope these people know what they're doing.
