Article: MMJ Patients Concerned About Supply

It starts with one quick message and minutes later followed by a friendly hello and a familiar smile. Small talk and catching up on how things are going. Selection is introduced and questions about needs are asked in addition to pricing. Specific strain suggestions are common and occasionally repeat purchases are rewarded with a new strain to review for feedback. The entire interaction is friendly and compassionate and over in a matter of minutes. Not only is it quick and effective but the quality of medicine is excellent for the price and everything is weighed in front of you. There is always a selection available for purchase and hours of operation are based around the consumers needs generally operating throughout the weekend. They carefully monitor their supply to ensure they can keep up with the demand of their customer base and do not let it exceed.

It starts with an email, then a phone call, then a voicemail when the phone lines are inevitably tied up. Countless emails and phone calls follow with numerous daily attempts spending hours trying to get a response and get your place in line to buy your marijuana. It is followed by stress and aggravation and message after message begging for a response. You really try your hardest to buy whatever strain shows up whenever it becomes available. Often the only thing for sale is the shake left over from the regular full flower marijuana that is sold to those who get there first. It is weeks before they have any inventory and you wait days for it to arrive by mail often delivered late or no delivery attempt is made and you have to walk to the post office to pick up your marijuana. You pay a premium price for this service and product in addition to shipping. Sometimes they do not have enough inventory to fill your monthly prescription so you are forced to pay for additional shipping. You accept it because this is the legal way to purchase.

Seriously who is the real criminal?
One of these interactions is a drug dealer and the other is Peace Naturals.

This sums up how I feel. We're all getting screwed by the MMPR.
BRILLIANT POST. Copy n paste the whole thing to Huffington Post!

@greg_chainsaw I applaud your willingness to be the public face of cannabis user maltreatment.

Call the motives of all the bureaucrats and corporate officials into question; suggest that compassion for patients needs to be the first priority, not profit.

Make REAL noise; call the head of HC a contract thug for profiting off their poor patients and a murderer for withholding needed meds to the sick.

In other words, tell the Canadian public that their system is more corrupt than the street dealer/grower network it purports to replace!

It almost seems to me that they want small scripts...why I don't understand, but really how can anyone realistically afford to buy lg script and I'll 15g/day on the table as a reference point ( plus that's what my script is for) even with my spouse working ther's no way I could afford to buy my entire amount. Then the peeps that are going to their doc for the gram or two to help them with whatever, can'tossible know what quality MJ is.

My script is for a gram a day.. Do I need more? Yes but I can't afford the whole thing so I didn't bother asking. I should probably have about 3-5 depending on the day and how severe my symptoms are. That doesn't mean that I don't know what good meds meds are lol. I would also have a bigger script if I felt inclined to cook with my meds, which I may get into when it comes time to renew.

Might be going public soon. Just spoke to a reporter about doing a potential TV interview. Hopefully I will be able to bring some much needed attention to the situation. They're looking for more people who have had difficulties with Peace Naturals if anyone knows any other patients in the Halifax area.
Ah a fellow Scotian.. I feel for you man.. My Lp experience hasn't been too bad luckily.. Courtesy calls and free meds as of lately.

PNP and Tweed really shit the fucking bed here.. It genuinely saddens me to hear of your difficulties.

My main obstacle with the MMPR has been affordibility and unfortunately it's a common one.

I was more referring to new patients using for the first time....I think you've already been around that block! But that I how scripts should be written...3-5g/day as needed. I wanted to use concentrates and cook with it so I got a bigger script to be able to accomplish that.

They want the small scripts because in the interim they can only supply small amounts.

2.5kg/day = 75000g/month per 1600 patients = ~46 grams available on average.

My prescription is 75g. They do not have enough. They are using this as a cash grab to fund the expansion. They gave us 100 "Peace Bucks" for being a loyal member sticking with them from the start. Which are not redeemable until next year - so they are willing to refund 100$ except that is not applicable until after my prescription has to be renewed. Aka a loan.... They're using patients as a kickstarter and keeping the competition out of it to maintain prohibition prices. They're trying to take the black market at black market prices. Since when are refunds or gift cards redeemable based on time requirements?

Why was the only sale in the history of Peace Naturals the limited quantity recalled batch of k-farms I received. It was downright wet when I got it. Did not pass testing and the recall was nothing but a phone call months after the fact. It got bud rot. It was not properly cured.

I had been talking to a reporter at the CBC and I had agreed to an interview over a month ago... Now she won't answer any emails and I have heard nothing back. I took the story to CBC marketplace and heard a few response tweets on my twitter @greg_chainsaw

I have been trying to break the story to someone else in the canadian media and he asked me to contact him next week because he is very busy with a hugely popular current story.

What about VICE? They like to talk about all the things the others won't talk about. Shoot them an email....

no names. better for the story and no attention on specific users.

CBC would not agree to an actual interview. (Senior reporter) Yvonne Colbert buried the story after Molly Segal interviewed me over the phone regarding the situation. There is no journalistic integrity within the CBC. With Amanda Lang taking payments from Sunlife I really question whether Yvonne Colbert is doing the same.
