Arggg. Ballast died and gave up the magic smoke

Not sure where to put this. My Lumatek 400W electronic ballast just gave up the ghost, after 4 months of use. Home breaker was tripped, I reset it and all the magic smoke escaped from the ballast.

I got it from BetterGrow Hydro Inc. There on-line help chat person took good care of me. I am past the 30 days warranty for them (3 years for Lumatek), but they gave me a RMA # to send it in for replacement. No problems or anything. I have to pay round trip shipping, but I can't bitch about that.

I give BetterGrow Hydro Inc. an A+ on customer service.

Follow up. I got my replacement. It took about 2 1/2 weeks turn around time. They sent me a newer model 400W with the super lumen switch...
I am not sure if I will use the switch, but I am happy not getting the run around.

Good to hear man, I plan on using bghydro.com for some supplies. Any reason why you wouldn't want to crank the ballast to 11? Lol

I am sure I will when I have extra bulbs. With my luck, my bulb would fail but I am using cheap HPS bulbs from Menard's. Only a few min drive but my current grow has had enough light problems. I think I will leave things alone until the next grow.
