Aren't fridges to cold to store bud?

I was reading up on the Grow FAG, the harvesting part

And it said when your packing your buds to cure them you should put them in an airtight container and place them in the fridge to increase potency.

From high times magazine, which is a pretty reliable source isn't it? I read cold temperatures break the trichromes causing reduced potency.

What do you guys think?

They do, around -20C(-4F), as I recall. Fridges don't get that cold. Most freezers do. What happens is the lipids fracture.
