I've been thinking about getting a couple of Area 51 RW-150 lights for my 4x4 tent but they are are hard to find. The Ara 51 website says they are closed for 6 months, and I can't seem to find them anywhere else. Does anyone know of someone else that sells them?

Thanks

There are currently much better options for your money than Area 51.

There was a thread a few weeks ago about the owner of Area being MIA. The guy is kind of a dick anyway.

Thanks for the heads up Johnny. Any recommendations at a similar price point to Area 51? I'm looking to replace my MH/ HPS set up in my 4x4 to cut down on costs. Thanks.

Is electricity usage your main issue? Or is heat the problem?

Also, what kind of budget are you working with? I don't remember what the RW-150 sold for.
Johnny- electricity usage is the main issue. Heat was a problem with my HID during my first indoor grow, but I was using a 3x3 tent, so it probably would be ok in the 4x4. My electricity jumped about $60 per month though, so would like to reduce if I can. As far as budget goes, I was going to get 2 of the RW150 a about $300 each, so would like nto stay under $700 if there is anything of quality I can get at that pricepoint.

Two RWs would only be 300 watts and wouldn't match the performance of your 600. If you're good with only 300 watts, this(http://timbergrowlights.com/300-watt-citizen-clu048-3x3-framework/) would be a better option for you, though the coverage wouldn't be as good on the outer edges of your tent.

Also look at Johnson Grow Lights, Amare Tech, Tasty LED, BC Blondes . . .

Thanks for the tips Johnny- Do you think 2 x300 of any of the above mentioned LEDs would be good?

What is a blurple light?
One's that make a pinkish purplish blueish color, they don't produce a full spectrum white light. California Light Works lights are blurple lights , not true full spectrum, the area 51 RW150 is a full spectrum light with red supplement so it's much better light quality than the blurple ones.
