Here's a question for you, if my plants are in Hugos, how many times a day should I water them, once or twice?

mine are in hugos on a drip system. they only get fed once a day and its enough to last til lnext feeding.

just make sure they are nice and light before feeding them again

What do you mean nice and light?

Also, I hand feed them so I'm giving them 1 cups of water per day, per plant, 6 plants - but some light yellowing has appeared all around and I think I'm not giving enough water

I gave them 2 cups of water in the morning, which is when I regularly feed them, but gave them another 2 cups just now, at night, right before light went off

Simply, if you're hand feeding, how much (by cups, or ML) do you feed your plants, and how many times?

my lights come on at 6pm and turn off at 6am.
the timer kicks on at midnight and feeds them until the runoff comes out of the bottom, i would say about 2 cups or 500ml.
this is usually enough to hold them over til the next day.
by nice and light, i mean the weight, make sure they are light as in make sure they are not heavy from water when you feed them.
they need to get light because the roots need to stretch down and reach for water.

the light yellowing most likely is a nitrogen deficiency.
either caused by poor nutrient mixing, or not enough fresh air circulation.
as long as there are no burn marks. if its yellowing with burn marks you might be nute burning them.
make sure you have a fan on them at all times and if you can help it, a inlet of fresh air will help.

A hugo can take approx a gallon, 4 inch take approx a quart.

If your handwatering them and they are small, why not considering submerging the cube in the res to water it. Hold it down until the bubbles stop and then the cube is fully saturated, depending on the size and age of the plant is how long it will take for it all to be drunk.

a big plant in bloom can take about a gallon a day maybe 2 a small plant it could last for a week, it depends on your environment there.

I hand feed, ive heard over-watering by dripping em into the res is a bad idea, because the roots cant get air

There is your answer... You want the rockwool to almost dry between feedings. How people drip and are successful is a mystery to me. A waterlogged hugo is not a great environment to grow in.
