Are we looking OK for 4 weeks into Flowering?

The leaves have been drooping down like that for almost the last 3-4 weeks. i'm beginning to think it is normal because the buds and cola are forming very nicely, and the smell is pretty nice as well.

Any ideas on what the problem might be and to to get the leaves to straighten out the way they should be.

Does anyone recommend trimming completly close to the bud and letting new leaves grow out. I think i still have at least another 2 months of budding before she'll be ready>

The light i'm using is one of the heavier 100W CFL's from home depot about 4 inches above the plant and a smaller 40W CFL on the side.

Thanks for the advice

She looks like she needs something.. I am guessing more light.. Just a guess tho :leaf:

Looks like its over watered and needs more light. Do you have good air exchange?

thats exactly what i said when i seen it. MORE light LESS water and it will be good. over-watering is a common mistake amongst new growers, as well as lack of light. and the redish stems means it needs magnesium, if there purple in some places it needs iron to.

i would first ask what kind of nutes are you using? if you are using a bloom nute, these tend to be lower in nitrogen, which is what makes your leaves green. it is common for leaves to droop or yellow some during flowering..
and about trimming any leaves.. the way that it was explained to me was like this and it made great sense to me so... the leafs of a plant are like lil solar panels, hanging out there to collect any light and use this light in photosynthesis to convert light into food, sugars.. so to trim any leaves from the plant would be to take away their main way of food collecting and making, so it is not advised to trim any living leaves from a plant..
hope this helps some

I get the hint...I never considered light to be the problem. Would adding 2 more 100W CFL's be enough?

Yes....I was using Bloom nutes - but at about 1/4 to 1/2 of recommended dose. I thought i over-nuted her though when a few of the big leaves started drying out hardcore and getting black and brown cracked spots on them. So i cut those off, and did a complete 3 gallon flush on her! that was about 3 days ago. How long does it typically take a plant to recover from a flush-shock like that?

get the lights as close to the plants kolas as possible without burning it, and another 2 would be enough , more is always better

Whats your flowering space?

She's sitting somewhat middle room just next to a closet that has the main light sitting on top. I have a large area fan pointed at her circulating air in the room and a large window fan mounted that sucks air out 24/7!

I did notice that some of the branching stems were reddish and DID have purplish tint/ dye in them. What would you suggest to correct this?

sorry man, but that plant looks awful.

Though I do agree that there could be a bit more light (as there almost always can be), I honestly do not believe that is what is causing the problem in these plants.

A lack of light will generally lead to stringy, long and thin plants and much fewer sets of leaves (from my experience anyhow)... What you have in these pictures doesn't seem to be a lighting problem (again: to me), but a problem with *watering* (as someone else mentioned)... They are either not being watered enough or being watered too much.. that's my opinion. I don't think a lack of light is what is causing the plants to droop like that, and I don't think it is nutrient related either (since these typically lead to discolorations).

I haven't grown pot many times and I'm far from a guru, but from all of the photographs I've seen on this site (and believe me, I sit and look through the health threads a lot), this really looks like a watering issue.

Even the way some of the tips on your plants curl in is a classic example of a very common result of over-watering.

are you talking 100W equivilent? or actual 100 watts..........

Honestly, it takes 200 ACTUAL WATTS (the small # on the box) of ZCFL lighting to properly flower a marijuana plant. you can do it on less with a 150watt HPS.
