Are Trainwreck buds purple?

I recently bought an eighth of what was said to be trainwreck. It was a really good, relaxing smoke, but some of the buds were purple. Now, I'm not complaining, but I would like to know if trainwreck can produce purple buds?

Point is... I found two seeds from that batch and I'm probably going to grow them. I'd prefer to know what I'm growing.

Thanks!

Damn, mine dont have those crystals all over them! Then again, I'm not in Cali and my eighth may not actually be Trainwreck...

I guess I have no reason to believe its not Trainwreck then.

If any of you have some time, please check out my outdoor grow journal. I always like the feedback.

Peace.

those trichs are about as clear as I've ever seen them! Also, could be Trainwreck or Purple wreck... But I was under the impression Purple Wreck was REALLY purple, so if it looked anything at all like Fdd's, even with a lil' purp thrown in, it may be Trainwreck.

Either way, it was pretty good, right? Also, the purple probably means its at least partially indica, so it can most likely be grown outdoors most plases in the US. Indoors too, of course! Since you liked it so well, it will porbably be worth it, I would think! Go for it dude! Trainwreck or not!

Yeah, it was a really good smoke. I'm growing some Afghans too. Not sure how much room I'll have at my plot, but I'll prob germinate the two seeds I have. Anyone smoked Afghan bud? I'm anxious to see how they turn out.

I have a grower friend from santa cruz that has been bringin me down some stuff called purple trainwreck and it is a hybrid of his own. He also accidentall knocked up this last batch with og kush pollen so there's a few seeds.. hopefully if your lucky you have come across the same shit!:) he is a biiig tyymer so it wouldn't be that hard to believe I guess.. he also supplies co ops all over so cal so its quite possible. Anyways, if it was purple and you liked it , its worth growing!!:) and if its from seed you'll be sure to have your healthy pick of the litter meds!!
