Are they really terrorists or are they just plain mercenaries

I don't understand how they know we are helping, yet the libs in this country are so against it. I guess we should have just let hitler do what he wanted, right?
I am glad you got back, I have a number of friends over there and are pulling for everyone.

I am a lib so will tell you why I am against it.

We did not need to go there when we did, not that there was not horrible things going on there, but our fight was not there.

There is no question that our military is the most powerful in history. We could finish these wars going on now in a few months if it came down to it. Many civilians would die, everything would be destroyed, but it could get done. We are asking our men and women over there to essentially sit there and take bullets when they shouldn't have to.

But why? The people that attacked us here in America are not the foreign governments or the taliban. It is small groups of crazies. And everything points to crazies that we trained.

Hitler was in control of an entire country that had proven aggression towards the other governments for years before we stepped in. We shouldn't have waited as long as we did, but in hindsight it actually made us one of the few countries that did not have to rebuild and let us jump far ahead of everyone else for a few decades, so maybe it was good for us to wait. Shame we wasted all those gains on wasting so much money in the cold war.

i think you need pschological help. they really flew planes into buildings and killed 3000 people just trying to provide for themselves and their families. they really blew up shopping malls, they really threw a cripple guy off a ship because he was jewish. they really killed 270 some people when they blew that plane over scotland up. they really do rape children to death while the parents watch. they really do kill their own baby girls and wives when they "defile" the family. thye really do saw the heads off of innocent people and then laugh and scream ALLAH ACBAR. yep, thats really what they do. if you want to break bread and smoke a joint with them, go ahead. i would prefer we send in a missile from a thousand miles away and blow them to hell. hopefully you guys will be done smokin when the missile detinates.
And we haven't destroyed their buildings, and killed thousands of their people? We've already lost more soldiers than people on 9/11 and we've killed close to a million people maybe more. So when is it that they are supposed to stop hating us? When we've killed 2 or 3 million of their people? 10 million. How long do we have to be there to make them not hate us? 8 more years?

We're trying to kill an idea here. We aren't going to make these people like us and what we do by putting a gun to their head. All we're doing is breeding a bigger enemy.

i have said this bfore and ill say it again

Over 1 million dead in the middle east.........1 million

1,000,000

compared to the 3500 or so on 9/11 (inside job which had nothing to do with iraq (bush quote) or any other country in the middle east

we are slaughtering them... no question about it

The OP is right, the media is spinning the story with the buzz word terrorist...

let me ask you something jeff

if a foreign nation invaded the united states and militarily took it over,

set up patrols on every street, convoys of humvees as far as the eye can see

all you ever hear is gunfire, warrantless searches and seizures

would you resist this invasion? you are not a patriot if you would not.....

those men are patriots

Crime Rates Around The World

Comparative statistics of crime rates around the world draws a surprising, if somewhat amusing, conclusion – the world we now live in is a safer place than before.

Crime in the only remaining superpower is seen to be declining. In US, street crime hovers near historic lows – hence the declaration of certain analysts that life in US has never been safer. And with the apparently downward trend of criminal activities all over the world, the world appears to be a friendlier place – notwithstanding terrorism. This is in sharp contrast to the perception that the world is getting more dangerous everyday.

Though the United States still ranks among the highest in violent crimes among industrialized nations, and also in overall crime, the country is enjoying a decline in crime numbers, nevertheless. In the meantime, crime in many other nations – specifically in Eastern and Western Europe – appear intent on catching up. Low-crime societies like Denmark and Finland are ranking high among street crime rates in the present. Even countries absent from the crime radar are making themselves conspicuous – like another industrialized nation, Japan.

Comparative analysis of crime rate statistics around the world remains complicated. Different definitions of what constitutes a crime make official crime statistics undependable, for one. Still, the United Nation initiative of global crime rates tracking – the World Crime Survey – may offer the most realistic and reliable figures.

Other factors affecting crime levels are:

a. Difference in legal and criminal justice systems
b. Rates of crime report and police recording
c. Differences in the point at which a crime is measured – some countries believes it is the time when the offense is reported; others only do the recording when a suspect in identified and the papers are transferred to the prosecutor
d. Differences in the ruling of which multiple offenses are counted
e. Differences in the lost of offenses to be included in the whole crime figures
f. Differences in data quality

Using the United States as a point of reference, we arrive at the following conclusions:

Burglary – Widely believed as the gravest of property crimes, burglary is lower in US today than in the 80s. As of 2000, US has lower rates than Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, and Wales. It has higher rates than Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Spain.
Homicide – US had been consistently high in homicide rates than most of the Western countries from 1980 – 2000. Though the rate was cut almost in half in the 90s, it is still higher than all nations without political and social turmoil with the 2000 rate of 5.5 homicides per 100,000 people. Countries entrenched in turmoil like Colombia and South Africa, had 63 homicides per 100,000 and 51, respectively.

Rape – In the 80s and 90s, US rates were higher than most of the Western countries, but by 2000, Canada is leading. Rape reports are lower in Asia and the Middle East.

Robbery – The past 2 decades saw a steady decline in the US. Countries with more reported robberies than US include England, Wales, Portugal, and Spain. Those with fewer are France, Germany, and Italy, and Asian countries plus the Middle East.

In overall crimes (the total of all mentioned crimes), US ranks the highest, followed by Germany, United Kingdom, France, and South Africa.

I didn't know about these chop chop squares untill a buffoon like yourself mentioned them. There's a lot of negativities in this world in each and every nation including yours, and they exist because people like yourself exist. I can't believe you even toke dude, such a jerkoff shouldn't have the right to even come close to such a herb. i DON'T CARE
okay cho, just taking this quote, and i am trying to be non-aggressive here, i have known about chop chop square for close to 30 years. its been going on since....since.... since forever! you just found out about it. what i am trying to say is dont listen to the propaganda. propaganda says its not going on. the truth is, it is going on.

you are a smart guy, i spoke to you about chop chop, then you realized "wow, thats pretty fucked up". then i tell you how they treat their women, and its all true. i am not making this shit up. that too is fucked up. and we are talking about doing this to billions, yes billions of people. call it what it is, fucked up.

keep looking for the truth, its not made up shit. look at katie, she was shocked that it even goes on. can you imagine what she would have said if the mayor of new york said, "hey katie you gotta where this head scarf while televising". can you imagine the outrage that would have erupted? and rightly so. but you have people saying, "you are condemming everyone when its only isolated". no, its not isolated. its everywhere around that area. dont stand up for that. dont say "its okay, its there culture, and jesus did worse". no, its not there culture! its their way to oppress people. tell them to stop oppressing people. for god sakes man, they still have a slave trade in many of those nations. dont defend that, condem it. its fucked up!

and in your quote the first thing you want to do is TAKE AWAY away my right to come close to herb. that is absolutely wrong. you dont have the right to take away my rights.....do we agree? well that is the way they think over there, "i dont agree, lets take away their right to....." fill in the blank.

brother, i dont hate muslims. i hate evil. and a lot of what goes on in that area is wrong. you should call it wrong.

brother, i dont hate muslims. i hate evil. and a lot of what goes on in that area is wrong. you should call it wrong.
but i do call it wrong and I feel very abused as a muslim that in such a country that holds great meanings to the muslims, pilgremage and other, religion is strictly enforced upon the people. Did you know that you can't let your wife out alone there, they'll just kidnap her. That police that she mentioned in that clip, they really do exist and if you are caught outside during prayer hours, they force you to go the mosque even if you're not a muslim. My question that contraindicates their belief is how come they're not in the mosque praying like all the others. I am also against covering up their wives like that, that itself might lead to blasphomy, I mean you can take somebody else's wife home with you, ooopppssss....my bad, but let's hump since you're here.
Toker brother, they are misleaded by their government that implements these laws upon them. Furthermore, do you know that the saudis are hated by most of the neighboring middle easterns due to their attitude. take for example the UAE, quite the islamic country where all rights are taken into consideration in the just islamic laws. women have a multitude of rights that they practice in life and work, plus they don't give a shit whether you're half naked or covered up, if you believe in their religion or not, etc.
Concerning the take away his right thing, that was just to underline that aggression has no place amongst tokers and I think everyone else here agrees.
Evil is everywhere brother but we cannot fight it with more evil, innocent people get hurt. Human greed has lead to everything related to evil and that's why I like smokin, to pass it around as I pass words of peace.
As for slave trade, I can assure you there is none, but the way they treat the people working for them is quite similar to slavery, but I'm sure there are lots of sweatshops around the world working for US labels:(
In conclusion, I just wanna say I'm glad this debate ended peacfully and that MJ came out winnin again:) Peace

When there are penalties against women for BEING raped... including death... how many do you suppose go reported? Who the FUCK were you going to report a robbery to in Afghanistan? The local warlord?

Are you serious? The AUTHORITY in most Muslim countries rival the worst we have in our prisons. Making a statistical argument under these circumstances is sort of ludicrous.

Any idea how many people were killed under Saddam's rule? Do you? Don't talk to me about the dead Iraqi's. They died HORRIFIC deaths before we got there, at a higher rate. Our invasion brought about a net GAIN of life. You don't give a shit about the Iraqi people... because the sad fucking fact is that you are less likely to be killed in Iraq now than under Saddam. Your chances of being lowered into a pool of acid are now almost nil. The chance your daughter would end up in a rape room have almost disappeared. You only care about them when it suits you.

Well its against the law for woman to show their breasts in public in the U.S. They are forced to cover their breasts.....weres your outrage. Different cultures have different norms
That is sort of the point with the whole mentality... their bodies... even their faces are considered shameful. Where do YOU draw the line? We have equal protection under the law. It took us a while to get there. It is a good thing.

Women are treated as subhuman in Muslim countries. Sharia is a joke.

Want to know my personal favorites? The homegrown US black Muslim population. Whenever I see a walmart employee in her hijab... I just can't help but wonder where she found Islam. I mean... nothing says "my husband or father did time" like a hijab.

I guess nation of Islam is the appropriate title... but I coined Prislam and rather like it.

I am hoping it catches on.

Can we talk about the Prislamic population Cho?
