I agree that the lighting makes it difficult to really give accurate advice. Its tough to determine size without something in the picture for scale as well.

They look close but I feel like the buds should be fatter. IME, when plants look like that the colas are full and round. Those look a little thin. Like they havent really filled out yet. Also look a bit leafy and green for being so close to harvest.

Could be the photos though. I have taken pics of my best, fattest, frostiest buds and they looked mediocre on the computer. Or you catch the light right, you can make any decent bud look frosted in trichomes that arent noticeable to the naked eye.

I would give them another week and see if you notice any increase in weight, or other changes. If you don't notice anymore gain, cut em down.

What pheno is that ?
After looking at the last set of pics - no offense, but the buds are really small & lanky.
How much you think you'll be able to get there?

Were I you I might consider a switch to some HPS perhaps.

Again, not trying to stir shit, just askin.

Ya they might just not be ready yet. My situation only allows for me to be able to run with this 330 watt LED. Didn't want to use too much electric. The one pic with my hand behind is the smallest bud. I just wanted to show everyone the full scope to get a better idea of what is going on. I know they won't be as big as a 600 hps but these buds are quality. That's all that matters. Last year I let them go too long. The buds were much larger with the same light. Maybe I have another week. I am picking up a new microscope today so I can judge better.

Ooo and I do not know what pheno. Just serious seeds ak47 grown out from seed.

Yep, HPS would likely yield better lookin' buds. But WTF! These look schweet! As in "We goin ta Sizzler!" :joint: What a nice problem to have. To chop this week? Or next? Man some dewds got it tough bongsmilie Nice job on the grow ^5 and as you wrote. Them LED grown buds may be a bit on the small side. But they will knock yer dik in the dirt  And after all, isn't that the point?

Good on you and enjoy!

Haha. Thanks for the compliments. I am happy I made it this far on my 2nd grow. They are def gunna have very good smoke. If only I could stress how crystallized they actually are and how good they smell everyone would be drooling. I am hoping that my dry and cure will go stellar as well. I'll update the thread when I actually harvest in case they gain weight :)

I just got a better microscope. I am seeing less than 5% amber. Still, it is hard to distinguish cloudy trichromes. I think I have another week of growth left before it is ready.

I find when I use my scope it is much easier to snip off a sugar leaf tip, set it on a table & rest the scope on top.
Before I learned that trick I couldn't keep the darn thing in focus.

Thanks for giving me that piece of advice. I will definitely try that method. It seems like I will be able to truly distinguish when it is ready using that tip. Thanks a lot for helping out a grower in need.

I used your method and I have a question for anyone that can answer. I was examining the cut sugar leaf tips and I can def see maybe less than 2 percent are obviously amber. All the other ones I cannot tell if they are clear or cloudy. They look clear to me, but, it would be hard to believe that there would be hardly any cloudy trichromes while a few have amber tips. What is everyone's thoughts on that theory?
