Hello everyone. I bought seeds from online saying fresh carolina reaper peppers. I wanted to try and grow some when I seen they are the worlds hottest pepper. I started them indoors and moved them outside. I have them in 3 gallon pots with happy frog soil. I was wanting to know if you can look at my pictures and tell me are they really carolina reaper peppers or did I get ripped off? 20150815_131958.jpg 20150815_132036.jpg 20150815_132050.jpg 20150815_132153.jpg

These look like jalapenos my man , The pics below yours are trinidad scorpions. IMO Anything after habanero hot is all the same thing. ghost chilies, scorpions and reapers are not anything to fuck around with. Dont try to be a bad ass and eat a whole one . It will make you it's bitch in short order. They are fun to grow but flat out dangerous to handle and prepare. I made a ghost chillie salsa once, cut it up with no gloves and then grabbed my cock about 5 minutes later..... I had my cock soaking in a cup of milk for like 3 hours. Now it's two pairs of latex gloves and a mask when i'm cooking them.

good link for seeing the Scoville chart and Pepper Joe's, out of curiosity what do you eat/put these death peppers in ? I remember when my dad was alive he would grow hot as hell peppers to take to the bar so his drunk friends would eat them

100% sure its not a reaper. The pods hang on the reaper yours are pointing up. Its some type of ornamental pepper. I can't recall knowing any superhots that grow up like that. Meta looks the closest to it. I know there are a coupe penos of it. Not super stable yet.mine is differnt also20150821_125850.jpg
