what do you think the problem might be then could it be the ph being off because the light is only 10 inches from the plants and if i put it any closer they will burn or could it be over watering or what?

I would not worry too much about it man.

They stretch sometimes because they are trying to get to the light. Did you transplant them into those containers?

You may not have put them deep enough. Just fill them in with more dirt (looks like you have space).

Here is one of my 7 day old White Rhino plants grown under 6- 40 Watt GE Plant/ Aquarium Fluorescents:

How old is your bulb? MH bulbs degrade 50% faster than HPS so you have to change them twice as often or else while they may still appear to be bright the light spectrum they are putting off is not what it used to be so you have light and you have heat but you do not have enough of the spectrum of light that is needed so you can still get stretch.

yeah that might be the reason my bulb is a little over a year old of 24/24 lighting during veg for my plants

Also... Some of them just stretch a bit more. You won't know until your second set of leaves and see if their is stretch between those. They look just a tiny bit stretched though.

They dont look too bad, more like they are planted a bit too shallow,
fill in some more soil to cover the exposed root section.
24/7 for 12 months is a fair bit of use, so it's probably time to invest in a new globe as well.
