Think about it. The grow stick is thin and surrounded by soil/less mix. When you wet the soil the majority of the nutrients will be restricted from spreading due to the mix. Better to mix nutrients into water, then water plant for a homogenous nutrient disbursement. hth

I always suggest staying away from miracle grow. It is not designed for cannabis, although I did read recently that miracle grow is working on a cannabis specific line. I will definatley be interested to see how that goes.

Really? I often wondered what the "name brand" companies thought about all that business they were losing. Quite a dillema. stigma or market share

The reaason i use these sticks is because i cant find anything else and i cant order those special fertilizers offline cause my parents check my packages.....i also use them because when you mix fertilizer with soil the reaction of the nutrients being broken down releases salt (i think) and this throws off the ph...however the sticks dont really screw the ph and they are easy to use.....the npk is 6 12 6 and they also have a shit load of other nutrients like magnesium iron, etc.....if anybody has any comments feell free!!! also suggestions of other fertilizer that may be better and that you can buy at a local garden shop would help soooo muchh!!!

Avoid miracle grow at all costs. It's just a bunch of crappy chemicals that aren't designed for growing MJ.

Personally, I'd go with something that's a bit more effective for your grow.

Of course, if somethign works for you, who am i knock it? I just use advanced nutrients so I can't talk about these sticks or anything. I'm always intersted to hear more when you find out if they work...

hmmm old thread it seems .. but I guess others could have the same problem as well ..

Im new to indoor growing .. but as fare as I know it schould be fairly simple to do the math ..
I mean what do the plant need in veg and in flower ?

sumthing like 15/5/15 and 5/15/10 (NPK) or sumthing ? google it .. do the research and find sumthing that match ..

schould be able to find sumthing in the local flower shop who get close to that
tho I also think you schould look for other stuff then NPK (etc. iron zink aso)

but use logic .. mariuana is`t that diffrent from a lot of other green plants who produce flowers
I bet the local shop boath have sumthing for green plants and for flowering pase and I bet they come close

found this in another thread:

something close to 2-1-3 ratio (i.e. 6-3-9 or 12-6-18 ) for veg

and a 1-2-3 ratio (for example 3-6-9 or even 6-12-18 ) for flowering when adding nutes to soil.

also found some sticks my mom useing for some of here plants

not that bad for veg 14-7-8 tho K could have been a bit higher ..

but I guess thats just proof that you can find many diffrent once .. so I guess it just looking for sumthing close ..

guess its better to use some then nothing at all if you cant get the right once

and they also only cost like 5$ or so for 30 pices .. enough for like 6 plants doing Veg as it takes like 6 weeks to break down ..
just have to find sumthing els for flowering then .. and I would only add 1 at the time .. maybe evry week after the fist 2 ..could work Im sure if you realy dont have any other way

atlest you safe some money on expensiv nutriens and all the hazzel of give it to em and not over do it aso.
