Are hermaphrodite seeds vialble?

I have read some pieces on the internet stating that hermaphrodite seeds, generally produce more hermie plants, is this true? Also, my buddy has a few Purple Kush plants growing. I was wondering if I could clone it, stress the fuck out of the clone so it becomes a hermie, then pollinate a branch or two on some females to get some resulting seeds. Is this completely illogical or is it possible.

The one hermy I've gotten so far (out of a handful of mums) was cloned from a hermie pollinated bud seed. Other clones from the same mum have not hermied. I think I understand fdd's sentiments though.

I'm don't know if I'm convinced a hermie prone mum is worth all the effort of keeping. Not when her progeny are prone to premature yankage of other budding buddage.

I was taught that 1 way to make fem seeds is to hermie a plant and when it pollinates itself the seeds will be fem. Is that crazy?

The pollen from a female stressed to hermie is used to pollinate another female equals feminized seeds. You just have to be sure it's stress causing the hermie. I did it when I was practicing with bagseed and out of the next twenty or so I planted I got one male, and zero hermies.

i had a hermy and it seeded and i planted a bunch of those seeds and they all hermied.

hermie seeds either go female or hermy i have never seen a true male come from a female plant that was stressed to hermie only fems and herms u can fem seeds with bannana peels

when a stressed female makes male flowers it is because she carries MALE GENETICS. these are NOT stable genetics. you might get a good plant or two, sure, but sooner or later it's gonna cost you. or the buddy you pass seeds out to.


to get TRUE feminized seeds you need to follow some certain "rules". it is scientific and there is a theory behind it. you'd have to understand genetics to get it.

just because you have never seen it, doesn't mean it won't happen.

could be environmental conditions...

i stressed a autofloer hybrid, and all 40-some seeds i got 35 of them grew females... the others got... eaten by something before gender was showing

sweet cus my girl grew pollen sacks after her flowers n i picked em off but some of them pollinated my other female (not itself tho) and so im gettin lots of seeds of Sour D from her. so you guys are sayin the seeds i get from a hermie pollinating a female will be feminized under ideal conditions? sweeet and i believe i crossed my own strain by pollinatin the girl, its a Sour D(fem) x Blueberry (hermi).. i need a name!

hermy seeds are gentic defects. they carry an EXTRA chromosome, a male one. hermies make hermies. they aren't worth the risk.

ima jus grow them outdoors and save my indoor setup for trusted genetics from my amigo!

ALL feminized seeds are produced using hermie genetics. I mean think about it logically, theres no other way to do it lol.

For best results, take the pollen of a plant thats turned hermie, and introduce it to a clone of the plant that hasnt.
All feminized seeds have a higher risk of turning hermie because of this, theres nothing you can do about that. A much better way to get a room full of pussy is cloning >.>
