Are Boveda packs really true to their labels?

Just wanted to throw out there that my experience with boveda packs is that they do not regulate humidity as they claim. I have hydrometers in every jar and i tested them on various levels of dried buds and they did not add the claimed amount of humidity or drop slightly excessive humidity very well. Just my .02 $

They will adjust by about 3% either direction over a few days.

If you are further out of range than 3%, try using a larger pack or 2 packs.

They do work well but are not designed for major swings fast. They are stabilizing in purpose more than adjustments.

I've noticed the labeling being deceptive when dealing with Amazon or Walmart, so I just deal with Boveda directly through their own website.
Make sure it's the "size 8" for single zips.

Boveda are “ simple “ 2 way push and pull moisture packs , they have have a swing in Rh and is expected.
They merely for simple RH stability, it would be a waste of time to overthink the numbers. The ONLY reason one should even use them is for long term storage …….. if you cure 2 weeks then consume , you are wasting your money.

I run perpetuals and stock pile a good number of jars … so many hang around 3-4 months like wine , some I burn thru within the month of chop. They keep long storage better within a better and more narrow range to keep it stable. 3 month jar still hits nose , rock nug , green color …..

It is far better to teach yourself the standard BURP method with hygrometer……. You will quickly narrow down what Rh in jar buds ACTUALLY are , then STEP DOWN Rh gradually with mixing contents , rack drying , extended jar opening , other other methods to RANGE it and monitor it when you seal it.

I like your commentary but i would definitely say i have to store them long term. Wife cant stand the idea of me “sharing” with our friends and i have about a lb….plus i like the idea of a good cure. So yeah but youre right and i do most of those things although i have had issues with moving buds into paper bags for too long and getting too crispy… something about the sweat makes them dry out in ambient air very quickly.
