Yea, aquarium lights are perfect. They're designed to penetrate water, I'm sure air will be no problem. ;)

Yeah, i just thought it would not be enough watts, its only 15w? I'm not sure how many lumens or what part of the spectrum its in... All the lights i have now don't work, what color should i get? I could mix two different lights too...

Yeah, 6500k lights? Can you get those at hardware stores? I can only veg them until like 1- 1.5 feet tall? Should i do 12/12 lighting or just 24 because i don't have a timer. All in time though i guess?

Sounds like a good idea. Just watch out for BUGS! They can devastate a plant in a day(especially leaf eaters like grasshoppers!).

I still kill every grasshopper I see to this day for eating the STEMS off 4 plants(with leafs mostly intact). Karma is a BITCH! lol

Whats a good idea? 12/12 lighting from the get go or 24? I'd like a quick grow as opposed to a good yielding grow.

I'd go with tried and true 18/6 or 20/4. I'm personally using 12/4(16 hour periods) just for fun.

15w will sprout and grow a plant for maybe 6". I'd go CFL, if I were you, for ease and cost reasons. 26w Ge Daylight packs at Walmart are cheap. 2 can grow several plants to about 1 foot with a reflector.

so these are fish tank light s that i mounted to the sides then

so then i put these lights on the top with a homemade reflector that goes in the top and this works great --put the lights at 12/12 right from the beginning for fast grow
