I been looking at the 3 different brands for a while now and I want to see what anyone that might have experience with any of these brands. I'm leaning toward thunder atm. And yes I know I should get something better but I be poor still. My end goal would be to run quantum

I have Apollo everything. The tents are quality as are the ballasts (much better than the competition). I definitely recommend them.
The bulbs aren't necessarily bad, but may blow earlier than expected. Seem to be discarded bulbs from another brand as there are always defects.. anyway.
The hoods are pretty good nothing I can complain about

Cool ty. I'm glad to hear some good things some of the reviews tend to be all over the place but not many with long term use.

I have Ipower ballast bought them new on ebay for same cost as stuff I found on Craigslist. I recommend highyield MH bulbs they are great for veg were pretty cheap and come with1 year warranty.
My scrubber and 6inch fan are also Ipower, this fan is very nice and heavy duty. It's nicer than my intake fan that I bought for the floor from ventech.
Go with what you can afford look for good sellers and Free Shipping20140902_074613.jpg20140902_074605.jpg

I have only had 2 different brands of ballast. My first brand was a Revolt ballast. You can buy them on Ebay. They cost a little more than an Apollo did. I had descent luck with that until someone broke into my house and stole it. I just recently bought a 600w Apollo setup off of Ebay. So far I haven't had any issues with it, but I am still on my first run with it. The bulbs are not the best but for the price they work just fine. Best of luck!

been running Apollo light systems for 2+ yrs on the same ballast! always fires up every time. I run 3x of their systems. the bulbs are great too. I change them out every 2 flower harvest/cycles. im upgrading to ushio bulbs next bulb change.

look up LowBaller on amazon. I normally get free shipping on everything I order thru this guy, but ive ordered 3x 600w light kits, 3x 6" 440cfm fans, 1x 8" 750 cfm fan, spare bulbs, ect. if you order thur him, pm me and ill get a discount code for ya for this guy. I had a fan go bad after 6 months, he replaced it w/o any issues.

About 5 months ago, mid-grow, my ballast went out. I needed something fast so had to go with overnight shipping which cut into my ballast money. Went with an Apollo thinking if it will just last for a few weeks then I will be in a better position to get a high quality ballast. Well, 5 months later it is still running strong. I am happy with it.

Thanks all for the great info. Sad Noone has used thunder so looks like I'll be going with Apollo since everyone has had such good success

I've been running Apollo for three years too. Ballast is still working fine, original bulbs still fire, although I bought new ones (Apollo) for this round. Still using the timer and hangers, no problems. Apollo is not the best quality, but definitely a good value for the money. I just got one of their tents and an air cooled hood. The reflector is wonky, nothing on it is true and it's flimsy. But it was pretty cheap and I've been mostly happy with it.
Apollo rigs are certainly high enough quality (IMO) that it's not going to be the limiting factor in your grow.
