PSy i think if you ask LT, he will suggest a blend for your future purchase.

I'm thinking more white, less blue (or no 450) and more 630 than 660

Great thread! Anyone have thoughts on this mix...?

3 Red 660nm
3 Red 650-670nm
3 Red 620-630nm
1 Blue 420-430nm
2 White 10000K
2 White 5500K
1 White 3200K

Not sure if 5500k and 3200k exactly are available, but something like that...

I'm considering picking up some Apollo 4's to use individually with plants.

you wont be able to configure that many whites and blues, as each 15-LED module cannot exceed 45V.

Blue,White,Green and UV LEDs are 3.8V Input voltage,
and they set a 5-piece limit on blue/white/green and UV LEDs per 15-LED module

so yeah, you have a total of 6 whites/blues, you'd have to lose at least one of them... other than that looks pretty good!

:)

What's going on that would make one diode 660nm and one 650-670nm?

these panels with only red blue and far red have shown better results than any other panel i have used in the past and are even on par or doing better than what my 600w hps could do ...... im in love :D

Had a chat with Cidly support, they provided me with these as diode options...

Red: 620-630nm
660nm
Blue: 460nm
430nm
Orange: 610-615nm
Yellow: 595nm
Green: 520nm
Purple: 410nm
Infrared: 850nm
White: 3000-18000k
Also said that the whites could be dialed in to about 500K resolution.

So where did 650-670 come from? and 420-430? Are these additional options I wasn't told of?

What about UV? The best this list has is 410.

Edit: The list I was given has been edited/corrected. I'll post again when I finish making sense of things.

heyas PetFlora, who is LT?
My bad TL = The Lurker

On another blog TL (by another UN) points out (using SDGs and other graphs) how fantastic PAR-wise that Cree XP-E Normal Whites are at covering most of the 450-600.

So I'm thinking maybe 2 @ 420 ~ 4 @ XP-E + the rest covering 615-850: I think TL said best ratio of 615:660 is 1:2.

well this is what I got in an email reply a while back, so go figure:

Red: 620-630nm,630-640nm,640-650nm,650-670nm.
Blue: 420-430nm,430-440nm,440-450nm,450-470nm.
Orange: 610-615nm.
White: 2700-4500K,4500-8000K,8000-12000K,12000-14000K.
Green: 525nm.
UV:380-400nm,400-410nm.
IR: 720-740nm,850nm.

but yeah, I not overly bothered about that, personally... I am still going to purchase 2-3 Apollo 12s, regardless if my "660nm" units are sold to me as "660nm" or "650-670nm"

OH and yes, you can forget about finding any useful UVB (280-315nm) in LEDs... LED panels "with UV RAWR! WE r TEH pwn!" are pure marketing and hype, aside from ones like the California Light Works SolarStorm which uses T8s for UVB. Use those reptile T5s or CFLs for UVB supplementation.

Anybody gone ahead and ordered/recieved a unit from Cidly yet? I ordered 2 weeks ago and am still waiting on confirmation that my order has been built and shipped. Just tried to check with them but my sales guy is out of the office and the other i spoke to claims they cant look up each others order status as its against company policy. I hope this isnt the first sign of trouble :( up until now they have been very helpful.

^^^ I am still another month away from putting in an order... let us know how that works out! I'd be real curious at least... Honestly, right now I am on the fence between Apollos and Inda-Gro PAR 420s (induction)

4 weeks from payment to door.
Nice Panel and Good Luck with it, but 4 weeks!!!! Man, I would've been freaking after two. But as long as you get it and it works I guess that's what matters. You don't live on Mars, right? ;)

Thx!!

There were two delays on my order. They let you choose the colors for front plate, main shelf and vent hole. One of the colours was unavailable so I asked to just use any available one! Really don´t care too much of the covering colours. Maybe give them, if you´re ordering, a list of preferenced colours...

+ I received an email saying that there was a problem with my package. I don´t know what it was but they gave me another tracking number.

The email contact was good. Usually got the reply by next day at the latest..

The light looks great!!! Even less heat than what I expected. You can only sense the heat when holding a hand near the leds. The fans (2) are pretty quiet too and smooth, much quieter at least than on my old 90diode ufo.

Now all it has to do is grow and stay functional :) peace!
