This sensor seems to be able to capture the FR & IR peaks of an HPS lamp fully, I wonder how much that would add to the specified umol-output?
In the description for it
“The 1040 nm top cutoff also means the sensor will measure spikes in HID and other broad spectrum lights above the range that influences plants therefore the sensor is only intended for use in LED grow environments.”

I was just about to buy the mq 500 did a little more research and seen this sensor. I have some uva and red/far red strips coming. I wanted to be able to plug it to the computer so for that price I went ahead and got the wand for it too. I’ll have tables with red/ far red, no red, and uva and red. So it’s going to get really interesting and fun being able to record the data vs how the plants respond to the different spectrums

Any suggestions for some Cree supplemental lighting. @Rocket Soul informed me the lack of favor epistar diodes have. I’ll go ahead and order some Cree strips for 2-3 of my tables without strips. I’m planning on 4 strips per table. I was thinking 2 11pcs 730 and 2 20pcs 660nm. Or there’s Cree 730 with half uv diodes.
